Why I do not like working with other women

Oooooh, I HAAAATE working with other women. What I suggest is do what you're doing - stay under the radar, do your job, come in on time, etc, etc. Get her alone so no one can overhear and drop the bomb - tell her you know she's saying stuff about you and you want to know why. Be nice to her in front of other people so no one else can say you dislike her, but give her the evil eye in private. I used to have a friend act like this - she was so nice to everyone on the outside, and on the inside (only revealed to me, her "best" friend) she would spew out vitriolic crap about everyone. I ended up not being her friend. But everyone else thought she was miss perfect, so nice. So be like her in that respect - on the outside you're nice to this girl, so everyone thinks you're still a great co-worker, but to this girl, and only this girl, let her know you know what she's saying about you. Hmm, does that make sense?

    beef recall

Kat - I honestly don't know. I'm Canadian - just an American resident, so i can't vote anyway, haven't followed the candidates at all. I'll admit I rarely vote even in Canada because it never really matters who's in anyway. Nothing ever seems to change or get done. I have to say though anyone has got to be better than Bush.

Yes, this ticks me off. Why should people who can't afford it have to eat conventional food? How long will it take before the government will say no more to using harmful products (well, I can guess how long - until the next election?)

    Would you be angry?

Kat - I'm 99.9 percent sure it's a lost cause. I talked it out with the nurse and she said pretty much the same thing but in a nicer way. I'm sure the doc won't have anything new to add. I guess the best thing that can possibly come out of this is a warning to anyone else getting banded to make absolutely sure what the costs are going into it (which I thought I did ...) I will mention it again to the doc, and I'm going on March 4, so I'll let you know what he says (probably nothing!) grrrrr .... (silently steaming)

How can the government do this? The government does not test everything for safety. This has been proven with the food we eat and the toys we give our children - well, basically everything we ingest, touch, or look at! You, the consumer, have to educate yourself on what is the best to eat (organic) and what is not (everything else). Don't trust the government to make sure everything that is on the shelf to consume is good for you. It's not.

Thanks Jacqui! So you're talking cotton pads as opposed to the cups I've been hearing about? I'm still not sure how that's supposed to work. I'm too chicken to look it up on the internet! haha

    Letting go of anger

I am so sick of being angry at everything, all the little things in life. What are some ways of letting go of anger that you have found helpful? I need more Zen in my life.

Oh, and about the baby poo thing - if you breastfeed the poo actually doesn't stink near as bad as if you bottle feed.

When the truth is inconvenient . . .

The first point - yes, totally, exactly. Everyone can do their part, but big business are big polluters, and they need to do THEIR part (their huge part) The second point - New York, London, Paris, what a way to live. You walk down to the corner (or take a quick tube) to a fresh market every day for your meals, for entertainment, for everything. There's no reason to have a car. But pretty much anywhere in America biking is just not going to happen.

    Would you be angry?

Thank you so much, everyone! Really, I do appreciate your time to comment on this for me. GraceUtah - You know what? I didn't get any manual thingamabob about Inamed. I'm going to have to ask for one next time I'm in. Thank you soooo much for including all that information. It has really helped. :cursing: Kat - yes, I do like my doc and nurse. I talked to the nurse today about what happened, and she knew it was coming because Crazy Accounting Lady told her I might be calling her. Yep, sure did. Nurse said the same thing - it was up to me to book the appointment within 90 days (which I kinda thought I had - anyway ...) Frustrating, but whatever, I guess I can see their point. I just wished they would have been very CLEAR on that point. I'm still used to the Canadian system and it's a lot different in the U.S. - you really got to look out for yourself down here. I also discussed the extra $53 fee for the office visit I was unaware of and she said that they will make sure to discuss it in further seminars. She admitted that other people who paid out of pocket also expressed concern about extra fees they weren't aware of, and it's something they will address from now on. And she apologized on behalf of Crazy Accounting Lady which made me feel much better. I told her I paid a heck of a lot of money to be treated like that and I knew they worked together for quite a few years, but I still deserve respect and to not be talked to in that way. She agreed. Anyway, I just want to be treated like a human being, so that helped immensely. Next time I'm in I'll talk to him about the fees too - not that they'll change it I'm sure, but just so they know I don't appreciate it and that it should be clear in their seminars. I guess it kind of sounds like I'm being wishy washy on this issue. I just don't want to change docs, just in case something goes wrong, and I do like the hospital setting he's in. Also, there's not that many choices here in Little Rock. But I don't want to be treated like dirt, and I hope that my conversation with the nurse today cleared that issue up.

    Would you be angry?

Another question - if I change docs, what happens if something horrible goes wrong and I need surgery? I'm opening up a whole can of worms here.

    Would you be angry?

Well, I almost hate posting his name because I do like the doc and the nurse - just not the accounting office. It's Dr. Gibbs in Little Rock, Arkansas. I just can't believe that a lot of people are getting free fills. I know, I know, my mistake, should have looked into it further. In my defense, he was the only one operating out of a hospital, and I felt much safer in a hospital setting, so that's the main reason I went with him. The other one that operates out of a clinic setting charges the same for the operation but only $100 flat fee for fill/doc appointment, whatever you see him for. But he's so busy he won't see anyone else's patients. This kind of stuff always seems to happen to me too. I get really excited about something, dive in head first without reading the warning signs, and get in trouble. Always. It's my personality. Act first, learn about what I should have done when it's too late. GraceUtah - the office say that .5 cc's is following the guidelines. Can you give me info about how it's not? Is it on Inamed's site? Thanks!

    Would you be angry?

I feel doubly screwed because they gave a price for the whole operation thingamabob, okay, then I get a bill in the mail for blood work. This was a month or two ago. Phone them up - oh, that's not included in the price. Okay. Then this comes along - the office fee not being included in the price they originally stated. The whole "this is what you're going to pay" versus "this is what you actually have to pay" is starting to get old mighty fast.
  23. Oh, I am soooo going to do this next time!
  24. lindata

    Would you be angry?

Thanks Heidi. There's one clinic that charges $100 but they're chock full and won't accept patients from another doc. The other one, can you believe this (I am not kidding) charges $700 for a visit and fill. I don't think there are any other docs in my area other than that.

I'm soooo not telling you guys what I eat. You are all eating way too good!
