  1. It's only a day difference... Most places don't do surgery on a Sunday

Of course! I know each program is very different but it's really easy to track they way they ask us to!

Our program NUT said no more than 22g fat per day. I've been eating low fat Protein like fish chicken and turkey I haven't even hit 22g per day most has been 20 and that's if I have avocado or almond butter those days. Sugars no more than 15 per meal. So no more than 45g per day and I barely get close to 25 if I have a light yogurt or natural applesauce It's been easier to get in my protein in daily once I got to the regular foods stage in my program.

It's not a daily food! Lol my NUT has us watch total fat grams Sugar grams And Protein grams I log everything to keep an eye on fats sugars and protein if I do that calories and everything else fall into line Avocado has high fat too and like nuts it's a better fat than animal fat so they'd rather us have those than animal fats... But we just have to watch our total fats... Each place is different. And you should follow things you are comfortable with or like another poster said follow who you paid to know what's right for you!

    Plastics and bad credit

I can assure you that each time you apply for credit it lowers your credit score for about 30 days... Once the inquiry falls off your credit reports then it's ok to apply to another... But credit is tricky tricky... If you don't have an active credit account that shows you make payments on time it is harder to get approved for things. I never ever wanted a stupid credit card but I bit the bullet and got one and used it and paid it off each month till I learned that didn't help either you need to keep a small balance on it so I kept a small 30$ balance on it for a year. using the card and paying all but 30$ then after the year when I went to buy my car... I was done in less than an hour.. My credit score was ridiculously better than it was the year prior when I tried to get the car with no credit... Which sadly is worse than bad credit..nothing about my job changed or my ability to pay my car payments just a stinking credit score....this brings me back to my original point that applying creates negatives on the credit report... I checked mine after I had been approved and was home with my beautiful car... Each credit institution they sent an inquiry to was a negative on my credit score... Took 30 days for it to go back to what it was..
  6. My right one has always been a full cup size bigger than my left one.. I'm hoping the right one drops a cup size and my left just stays the same! And for once id have even boobs!! Lol last thing I want is a massive d cup on the right and a b cup on the left... That would be terrible... I'd have to get the right one reduced to match its counterpart. ....

Sometimes I just eat a tablespoon of almond butter( because I like it better) just to get those last few grams of Protein in... Or I'll put it in a yogurt smoothie. ( Greek yogurt plain- 1/2 small banana, 2 tbls of almond butter, ice and almond milk. To sweeten I use stevia.) You can add unflavored Protein powder to it and make it a Protein shake. But the 18 grams on its own works well as a shake for me..

When is a goal too excessive?

I was looking at that too, for my height 5'7" I could weigh 119- 159 literally the ends of both extremes... Realistically tho I can't picture 119 as a healthy weight for me without looking sick...I'm sticking to my goal of 137. why did I pick that #? It's the middle of the normal bmi chart

    so where do I start?

Absolutely wouldn't go through with a facility I was not 100% confident in. I've left many medical facilities I was not comfortable in and for rude office staff. Dentists, PCP's ect. Let your insurance know and ask them if they can tell you an office in your network that is recommended that they can give you ask for a couple and do some research on them and pick a new place. Most insurance companies will help you if you ask for help. Good luck!

    Telling Work

I had to take 6 weeks off work so I needed to go on medical leave and disability. I work for a very large company but a very very small office. We have 6 employees ..so I made sure I could find help from other offices to cover just told the other offices I was going on medical leave for 6 weeks and needed to help find coverage. They all just said oh.. Uh yeah I can help.. None of those people even asked what for after I said medical leave... But the people in my office know I was open with them since I had been going to appointments since feb. but it's 6 people I've been working with for years most of the over 6 years.... But there is nothing they can do to make you tell them why. A dr note is all they need. And all it has to say really is a medical procedure is being done on mrs. ..... And she will need 2weeks of time off to properly heal.

    Strange feeling in stomach

Hmm, sometimes after a eat I can "feel" my stomach working. Sounds weird I know, no pain or nausea for me tho. It almost sounds the way it use to when I was hungry... Pre op ..

    August sleevers progress

So I found a pic of me at my friends bday party in feb. ( when I started this process) and I took a pic of me today. I can see a difference in my upper body and face ... Which means more will follow.

I did my first 5K today!

    That's awesome congrats!
  17. My surgeon told me its a muscle they cut through, I had crazy twinging/twitching that was like a spasm right there... She said if its doing that then I'm doing too much too soon. So try resting more... After week 4 it went away for me. It takes some longer than others.
  18. I think that many people have dreamed up the "perfect self" but most people know that's not exactly how it turns out... I wasn't nervous at all not even during surgery prep and I think i terrified my nurse a bit because I was so calm. I knew exactly what I was getting into, I knew it wasn't going to be a miracle surgery and pounds and excess skin were just going to fly away by themselves. I knew the work I was ready to put in and I knew it was going to change my life in a positive way for my health. Everyone I knew supported me in my decision, friends family coworkers. Except one brother who was there at the hospital the day if my surgery because at the end of the day I'm his sister and he was there to support me. After surgery wasn't always easy some days were really hard. Some nights I couldn't sleep at all and others I slept like a baby. My skin broke out in an allergic reaction to what I know know is artificial sweeteners they use in the Protein powders. So I can only use stevia which I usually use for everything else anyway but the protein powders/drinks are made with others so I can't drink them. Had to get creative a bit but none the less its one more thing learned. I completely hate the taste of chocolate it repulses me! Lol things change and have accepted each change and each thing as this is my new life... It's not a diet. This is part of who I am now. So yeah sometimes I can look to the future and see myself enjoying a day playing softball with my family.... But I don't think that's abnormal.

    pureed

Try to get in 4 oz in about 30 min wait an hour and try the rest... Sometimes you just gotta break it up... Good luck moving forward

Thin the pudding out with either fat free milk or soy milk or almond milk... It really helps it go down easier... Purée a half of a small banana some plain protein powder and milk with ice you can add some of the pudding in whichever flavor. I've done that too. I think the trick to mushy foods for me for the first week was to thin then out well first then gradually thicken them up till they were about apple sauce like consistency
  21. I agree with the poster above me, Heath is important first and foremost. Mental health included. My psych eval paperwork was like taking the SAT's idk if everyone's psych eval is similar or not but I did it. It took a good couple hours of my life to get through. And I had to do that before the dr would even see me. My ins had hoops to jump through and I gladly jumped as high as they wanted me to because I needed them to cover this surgery. The first time I tried it was 3 years ago with a different insurance. They denied me and said diabetes and bmi of 42 wasn't a good enough reason. So I kept looking for a way to afford it... Then my company changed ins carriers this year... So I started the process all over it took months but it worked out and was worth all of the things I went through to get it done.

Thin it out a bit more. That usually helps along with slower eating and smaller bites. As for the protein drinks try a different flavor, that usually helps.
