  1. Have you even read my posts? Where was I being a smart mouth? And from this post you are rising above this? Sorry' date=' but as I mentioned in one of the posts, which it doesn't look like you read, if someone walked into an A.A. meeting with a light beer wondering if it was OK for them to drink it, I am not going to placate them unicorns fairy dust. Folks, we're all grown up here. If you want a smart alec response from me, it would have been along the lines of why someone would post a picture without actually asking a question leaving the door wide open for the reader to interpret their meaning. It would have have gone on complaining that someone has such little regard for everyone's time on VST that they will spend 2 seconds posting a picture and then wait for everyone else to submit well thought out, kind, loving, validating responses. Respect. And you're trying to preach to me?! Yeesh! You can't see the forest for the trees.[/quote']

hey off topic but I'm in AA and if someone did come in with a drink then wed let them drink it... you wanna know why!! Because they are there to change their lives and by scolding them isn't going to want to make them stop its going to push them away. I know for me all my life I have been the fat one or outcasted by my appearance. But I do know that I WILL NEVER change my personality or respect for others just because I will no longer be the big girl lI was before. Some let it get to their head. This group is for support old and new. Not everyone knows how to Cook healthy or choose healthy choices, handle this new found way of living. If we did we wouldn't be here... So, my point is.... In the future If I was you I would chose my words nicely and accept the fact that what you said was extremely rude. Own up to it, thats it. Don

t let your ego get in the way. No need to be so rude about situations. I don't need a long explanation from you just to let you know that there are ways to address certain situations with certain people. If you have been successful with your weight loss then congrats too you. Some of us are still learning.

  2. Im not sure if this is the right forum to ask this in but im so over welmed by all the sights. I have BCBS Active Care TRS. I have a 5000 Copay and I was wondering if the will finance that in office. I am also considering using Dr Kim. Thank you for your help!

Copay or deductible? If its deductible my hospital stay an all my testing at the Texas General hospital ate up my deductible and I didn't have to pay anything up front. Just my copays each visit and 250. Scheduling fee that went towards the surgery balance. Also get 3 months free post-op. I have Aetna and that's my experience with dr Kim.

  3. I would love to hear from others that have used the same Dr. or Hospital. My surgey date is 9/23.

I had Dr. Kim it went very well. I had DiDi and Merylene as my nurses and they were good. My friend and her husband also went thru Dr. Kim. we were very pleased. Just make sure you get up as often as possible to walk. I was walking 6+ laps on my own so she wouldnt wake me up every 2 hours. LOL that was our agreement. Bu t was in my everyday clothes later that day and walking and sleeping. Good luck

  4. I was also sleeved on the 27th' date=' but came home yesterday. I can really appreciate the gas pains, but (no pun intended) they have passed.

I had to get on the scale when I got home, just to see where I was at. Results were phenomenal! Then I realized the switch was set on kg not on lbs. But maybe a glimpse of things to come.

    Best wishes to all...[/quote']

    how are you feeling

  5. I was on the 27th as well. I wretched all night long only to find out in the morning I was having a reaction to the morphin. Yesterday I was a mess' date=' I was like "what did I do to myself?" Today I had half of a Protein shake and feeling a lot better. I am not allowed any Jello.

I am a bit concerned because I am up by 8lbs on the scale but I heard that could be just swollen stomach. I hope as I have work next Tuesday. Best wishes to my fellow sleevers...[/quote']

I came home weighing 7 lbs more than I went in but it's all dropped and I'm 4 lbs less then I went in today. I was sleeved on 4/26

  6. Slept in recliner last night... Laying flat just didn't work. Tummy is really sore. Trying to get rid of all the fluids they put in through IV at hospital... feeling bloated!

Same thing here I came home weighing 7lbs heavier than what I went in. I've never slept on my back but found that laying on my right side with a pillow under my side and one between my legs helped so much. I haven't had anything really to eat just Water and Popsicles. Not hungry. Also know that walking relieved my gas and helped with soreness. 3 days out now I'm finally showing lbs loss on the scale. What I'm having trouble with is the Vitamins how and when to take them. Plus my antidepressant medz can't stand to open" the capsule and taking it with Water Just like that bleh!
