  1. I am 4.5 weeks out and have lost 19 lbs. I lost 20 preop. I feel great but wish it would happen faster. But I can already tell a huge difference......it's just slow enough to feel like forever but it actually happens really fast.
  2. I am from Cheraw, SC. It's in the upper right hand part of the state, about 20 miles from Rockingham, NC. Congrats on your surgery date and I hope things go well for you! I am sure it will! I am 5 weeks out, down 40 lbs, 20 before 20 since surgery. I've had no complications and asnlong as I listen to my body and eat slowly, everything goes down well. It has been easier than I thought except for my second week of the liquid diet. It was hard for me because I felt like I was supposed to eat something. Once I accepted the liquids only I have felt so much better! You will not regret it!
  3. I ordered a warm apple dumpling from Bruester's the other day. Don't do it! It comes in a bowl the size of a salad plate! My whole family could've shared it.....it was ridiculous! I was by myself, took 2 bites and threw it away!
  4. That would be awesome! I can't believe I will NEVER be plus size again! I still have trouble wrapping my head around that! It's so exciting! Yay for all of us!
  5. Sorry, I just tried on some 18s and they fit! Yay!
  6. That's wonderful! Congrats!
  7. We've all been there. It's tough! Just pick a day to start back and DO it! The good thing about it is we can start again. You've come too far to go backwards! I know about stress and how it can cause you to derail. Don't let it. Decide to do this for yourself no matter what! You'll do great!
  8. I for one cannot wait to LIVE a healthy life!
  9. You will do it. We are on our way!
  10. That's gotta be a great feeling! Congrats!
  11. It will take a few weeks. Be kind to yourself and do what you can and rest. It does get better. Like others have said, I felt much stronger when I could eat more and excercise. I am almost 4 weeks out and I feel so much better. I've been cleaning and organizing everything since I still can't tackle the big things. But it is nice to start cleaning out the closet and seeing a difference in myself.......down 38 lbs total! 18 since surgery.
  12. That is wonderful! Keep up the good work!
  13. Lol! Well it was more like a walk/jog but it was more than I have ever done before! I walk about 2 minutes, then jog for two, then keep switching. I am still getting used to exercising, but I am down 31 lbs total and feel great!
  14. 8 days post-op and down 10 lbs. I am starting to struggle with the liquids but I am getting there. Wish I could relax and stop worrying about when I lose 75 lbs! Taking it a day @ a time. Jogged for the first time yesterday, did it again today. I NEVER thought I'd say that!
