  1. Count me in! Thanks for arranging Bea!
  2. Thanks, raven! Religious about getting in 80g currently, so I know I can do 90! Thank you for the tip!
  3. Hey jdub, I keep the same kind of work schedule. The only thing that works for me is working out before work. I'm drained by the end of the day and I know I just want to go home and lay face down on my bed. It is hard some days, but I would suggest getting it over with early AM so you can't talk yourself out of it (like I always try to do). As far as nutrition, I make about a pound of chicken breasts in the crock pot on Sunday and eat that throughout the week. Ground beef is quick to brown up and reheats relatively well in the microwave. Go to Snacks are string cheese and Protein shakes. Hope some of that helps?
  4. Hi everyone! 9 weeks PO today (8/15 surgery date) SW: 288 CW: 236.2 Need some advice from you folks. I'm trying to kill it in the gym 5 days a week with about a 60/40 split weights/cardio. Don't get me wrong I am very grateful the scale is going down quickly, but I'm very nervous I am losing more muscle than fat. Is there any way to monitor this other than a fancy scale (or hardcore bod pod testing, etc.)? If no, anyone recommend a good scale that is trusted to be fairly accurate? Any insight is greatly appreciated! First picture is a few days after surgery and the second was taken yesterday. I CAN'T WAIT to feel comfortable in something other than all black
  5. Morning all! Don't know how, but weighed in at 236.2 this morning. Down 4.8 this week. This weekend I let loose a little bit (OK, a lot bit...like I may have had 6 glasses of wine) so I honestly didn't expect a loss. Why are our bodies so darn strange LOL?
  6. Holy moly you look awesome! Keep doing whatever you're doing!
  7. GG, your stomach is FLAT! I would be totally lying if I said I wasn't jealous! Keep up the great work!
  8. Woohoo! You look AWESOME! Congrats!
  9. Bea, such a good post! Just wanted to let you know this time last week I was having the same feelings about being down almost 50 and still in a size 20. Don't know what happened but it was like overnight something changed and I was able to wear a size 18 skirt no problem last Thursday to work and even wore a 16 dress this weekend. It's going to happen to you, too! I just know it!
  10. Thanks for the reply BTB! Those damn bartenders... Going to try the saltines this morning. I feel like a freshman in college a over again haha
  11. So I was "over-served" at a friend's wedding this weekend. I'm now on hangover day 2. Now I definitely can't hang like I used to and drink very rarely, but this kind of feeling day 2 is a first for me. Anyone else experience an insane hangover after drinking for the first time after being sleeved? Note to self, so not worth it. Could I have damaged my sleeve at all? Didn't really cross my mind until just now? Ah crap.
  12. I'm 5'10 and my doctors goal is 182. I think mine is 165-175.
  13. Do you use a gym? If yes, they should be able to print out a log of when you checked in
  14. Hi there! I do exercise about 5 days a week. I was pretty lucky and got cleared for exercise after 1 week. I also try to vary my calories from day to day (600 on Monday, 750 on Tuesday, 850 on Wednesday, 675 on Thursday, etc.). Not sure if that is helping, but I have convinced myself it is haha!
  15. 8 week check-in... Start: 288 Today: 241 -47 Still struggling with eating slow, but everything seems to be going pretty swell!
  16. Morning all! 241 today. Down 4.2! AND FINALLY ROCKING A SIZE 18 SKIRT TO WORK TODAY! Only took 47 pounds LOL!
  17. Amazing! You both look fantastic!
  18. Looking amazing! Love outfit, too!
  19. Hey there! I got pretty lucky and lost 3.5 last week. I'm starting a new 12 week workout program today, so hopefully that helps me reach our onederland goal! You've got this! I'm sure this week was just a "regrouping" week for your body. Next week will be killer!
  20. No, PPACA ( aka Obamacare) does not explicitly require WLS to be covered. Each plan is different so it really varies. I am uncertain about the Exchanges, but I doubt that they will. I would encourage her to reach out to the Exchange in her State and inquire.
  21. You would have to be their legal guardian.
