    Women what would u do?

Would you ever know what came of your eggs? I think the knowing (or even not knowing) would drive me nuts. Minus the whole being pregnant for 9 months....its almost like being a surrogate mother.... I thought about that but of course they had height/weight proportion requirements for being a surrogate. I say if you're ok with it then go for it! And if you are REALLY ok with it then its a win win situation. Not only will you be 8,000 closer to you getting your plastic surgery but you'll also make someone who is unable to conceive very very happy.

    Bariatric friendly desserts?

Not a fan for sugar free either but i tolorate it. the jello/puddings have a weird after taste to me so i'll have to try this one. Went back to the store and grabbed a Jell-o mousse temptation to try...not to bad

    WonderSlim and BariWise products

i ordered the wonderslim variety pack from bariatricchoice.com. still working my way through it. Its been it and miss so far but the hot chocolate was a hit! Very tasty and creamy. i actually ordered a box of it. Its gets extremely hot where i live so most days i blend it up with ice. either way its really good hot or cold. Cappuccino wasn't included in the variety pack wishing it was.

3 weeks Pureed food Need Suggestions

3 weeks post op. on the 'mushy food stage' now. usually have cream of wheat for breakfast or scrambled eggs. For lunch some sort of creamed soup and for dinner I can have canned meats (chicken, tuna, salmon) mixed with lite/fat free mayo. cant stomach the tuna, havent tried salmon but i'm loving the chicken. its soft and goes down nicely. mashed potatoes, fat free refried beans, mashed sweet potatoes are also on my list.

    Do you still get hungry?

I was told that to in one of the seminars i took. Im 3 weeks post op and yes i get hungry (im hungry right now) . I can tell you its nothing like my hunger was before. My portions are are less than half of what they used to be. I have noticed on days when my protein intake is where it should be, i'll go for HOURS without being hungry and will need to remind myself that I havent had anything in a while. Today i was in a hurry and left my protein drinks at home and water is just not cutting it. So i wouldnt say it completely removes hunger for everyone but it has helped cut down on cravings and my food intake.

most companies have varity sample packs. that way you could try different brands/kinds and flavors to see which one you like without being stuck with a bunch you dont. I chose a brand called chike. they have a orange cream flavor that tastes like a creamsicle. love it! I also have the bariatric advantage brand. i find it to be less chalky than some others but if i had to choose between the two i'd stick with chike

My hospital stay was 3 days. Had trouble keeping anything down. Lots of nausea some pain but it was all manageable. From what I've read on here everyones experience is different. Some better than others. My first few days were not all that great but it does get better and it does get easier. It's still early on in my sleeve journey but I'm loving my decision to have it.....no regrets

its great that you are doing what you can to be able to support her during her journey. Just had my surgery 3 weeks ago and honestly I would have been lost without this forum. Good luck to her....and to you!
