  1. I'm pretty sure alcohol thins your blood as well, tho I'm not sure one will do it...probably best just to skip it, but I'm a nervous nelly.
  2. Ironically today I forgtto buy a bottle of water when I ran to the grocery store for some Tylenol, so I stooped at the Starbucks inside and got a decaf tea, started sucking on the straw and didn't even notice until it was nearly gone! Woops I am 7 weeks out and no more air than with a cup...I think I'll cautiously do te same, it felt great!
  3. Maybe mix with cocoa powder and a sf sweetener and make a chocolate peanut butter shake? Break up the PBS flavor? I have a recipe or protein balls using chocolate unjury and peanut butter only and they are delish, bet you could make just PB protein balls....let me know if you want the recipe, it's only those two ingredients but I forget the amts!
  4. I plan to try a small bite first, see how it goes...my surgeons pretty conservative with stages, so I'll be 8 weeks post op, I've had carrots and potato and rotisserie chicken already tho lol those were on my mushy list, two saltines were on my list too and I've only had two, they were one of my big cravings pre op, I could eat an entire sleeve :/
  5. I am getting excited at the thought of eating some fresh veggies (oh the ironicity) next week when I am advanced to regular food. So I am curious if you have completed your stages and are back to eating regular food, what did you eat first? I want a tiny salad, of course protein first but I salivate thinking of crunching some lettuce lol!!!
  6. Not lurking was more shy at first and had little to say until after surgery(which once was decide came very fast) I supposed it was lurking but that sounds scary lmao! I prefer learning from the more experienced! I'm pretty sure I've commented on your posts! Either way hang in there!
  7. Terrible! Sounds like she is getting nervous you may look better and be healthier than she! Sad excuse for a friend! I have a friend who worked so very hard to get her 79lbs off "the hard way" and scoffed at my 35 lb loss so far as "well it's not as tho you lost it in a healthy way" blah! I'm slowly learning this year(and not even due to my surgery bc I only told a handful of people) that I only have room in my life for truly GOOD people, the rest need to go! Not in a harsh way but I'm moving on with or without them! I hope you dear sweet friend do the same! All I've read from you over the last many months shows you are a wonderfully kind and strong woman who deserves support not belittling! Hugs!
  8. Hang in there, maybe gas in some odd areas...I'm sure you've heard no less than 5,756 time but walk walk walk! Hope things improve today!
  9. Amazing!!!! So inspiring!! I was 211 at 5' I'm currently 177 at 7 weeks today.
  10. What abt eggs? I've been hard boiling them in 3-4s and taking one out each day, peeling, chopping it in a mug and nuking it for 45 seconds, add a pat of butter salt & pepper! Nice & soft and yummy!!! Another FAV is two slices of deli turkey spread with one wedge of laughing cow light French onion roll up and eat!!! If you haven't try Premier Protein ready to drink in chocolate its the only protein I like...really cold too! 30grams in 11 oz. Also seeing you like broccoli cheddar, did you know
  11. Maybe was a kidney stone? Your symptoms really pointed to UTI, wow, hope it doesn't return!!!!
  12. Good luck!!! You'll be in the losers bench soon!!!
  13. I'm not the same stats but here's my before and 2 mos post op...SW 211 CW 177
  14. Salad is my number 1 craving at this point(almost 7 weeks) I DO want the lettuce lol! I think it's my body's way of showing me its sick of warm, non fresh mushy food!!! Ready for something crunchy and healthy, who woulda thunk I'd crave salad! I'll be asking at my advancement appt in a week!!!
  15. A gentleman who has become sort of my mentor (met him at our support group) was about 400lbs and has lost over 90# in 3 months, he follows the rules by the book and walks a ton!
  16. How odd, mine strongly suggested Greek Yogurt, maybe perhaps she thinks its too thick? On my full liquid phase I thinned mine with skim milk. More protein can't be a bad thing, I'm so confused! Let us know if you find out why?
  17. Looking good! Such an inspiration!!!! Congrats!!!
  18. Totally off topic but Christian did you ever do wedding videography??? Your name sounds so familiar, I grew up in NH.

  22. I use these too, I have a 11oz fruit set and two seasonal 16oz. I do preamble shakes but always have this filled with water for me to drink! You are right tho no leaks and the "spout" type thing you drink from is small, I hate big openings like Nalgene bottle, I dribble lolol!
