  1. I stalled in my third week, but then started resuming. Your body fights the weight loss, but the biggest thing I recommend is walking every day. I use "Map My Fitness" on my iPhone to measure and since my 2nd day out of the hospital, I have walked every day, usually about 45 minutes but on days I was really tired I still tried to get to a half an hour. I think that has really helped me in many ways!!
  2. Congrats on having the big step in the rear view mirror, and I hope your feeling good soon. When i was in the hospital I got an infection, unrelated to the surgery, and ended up being there for 6 days. The best thing to do is walk around, even the hallways in the hospital.
  3. I am now done with shakes but I was drinking Muscle Milk Light which has 30grams of Protein for a 200 calorie (17oz) shake, so my 60g of protein were 400 cal. When I was shifting to food, I still had 1 shake a day for a bit over a week. Now I am getting my protein in primarily through ground turkey, Jennie-O Extra Lean 99% lean 1% fat, which has 120 calories per 26 grams of protein per 4oz serving http://www.jennieo.com/products/3-Extra-Lean-Ground-Turkey-Breast. So yes that range has included my food. Now that I am near stage 3, I am finding it much easier to eat than near the beginning of Stage 3, so I have quickly moved more towards the 800 calories per day. As of today 35 days since surgery, I am down a total of 33 pounds. (Day of Surgery 285, today 252)
  4. I was a binger so I get it. One suggestion that helped me was freezing a chocolate (Muscle Milk Light) Protein shake, splitting it to 2 servings before freezing and then eating one like ice cream. One half is a good size and only 100 calories and actually nutritious. Good luck!
  5. Just over 4 weeks, my surgery was July 23rd
  6. You should go see someone before it gets infected!
  7. That is since surgery. I was lucky in that my Doctor did not require me to lose weight pre- surgery. So it's basically 30 pounds in just over 30 days.
  8. Hi, had my sleeve done on 7/23, hit 30 pounds down today (weight at surgery 285, now 255) but so tired all the time and exhausted by dinner time.

Hi, I have my surgery a week ago today and I know it's very early but this is way more of an ordeal than I was lead to believe. So far it's been a huge struggle with several complications (infection, pneumonia), although purported the operation went well, it's been so hard. Now I am also feeling shaky and uneasy all the time.
