jules <3 replied to teeniesleeve10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
good job! i was going to ask if you found yourself being a slow loser because you started out smaller than most who go through with this procedure, but it doesnt look like you have had a slow loss at all. way to go! we started out around the same weight. i am one month out and have only lost 18 pounds. but good for you? got any tips for me for my second month? -
I am late on my period, got my surgery almost 4 weeks ago, a AND also have PCOS. so I feel you. But I have been feeling "moody" and have major cravings this week, soooooo, MIT be pms? I have a question though since you also have PCOS, when you had the surgery and they discharged you, did they tell you to stop taking metformin and spironolactone, that is if you were even taking it to begin with.....?

I have the same fear but a little bit of tune and chili and some triscuits, if you really look at the grand scheme of things, really Is not a lot. Compared to our first couple weeks it is, but we can't live off of liquids forever! -

I feel the same way and I am barely a month out. I actually now have cravings for "bad" food, which I definitely didn't have the first three weeks for sure. I know I should not be feeling like that this early on. I do have a strong sense that I am pms'n right now, and I ope that is the only reason why I am craving surgery foods and that my appetite is up, also I have gained two pounds this past week. If its not pms'n, im screwed! Lol -

A plateau at 3 weeks out? What gives?
jules <3 replied to ChefEm624's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
And I noticed we are actually all around the same starting weight. That could have something to d wi it. My surgeon told me this past Friday that I am not going to lose as quickly as others who have more 200 pounds to lose. The bigger you are the more weight you lose. Go figure! -

You All are not alone. I haven't lost weight in about a week Nd a half, and I work out everyday. I'm 3 weeks out tomorrow And only have lost 14 pounds. This sleeve is soooooo frustrating. I was losing more weight before I had surgery! -

From the album: 2 weeks post op
Trying to take a full body pic the only way I know how -
I was just sleeved August 21st. The day I was discharged from the hospital, which was the next day, they told me to stop taking my metformin and spironolactone. Did anyone else have to stop their medication immediately. I think by me stopping taking them it is slowing my weight loss. I'm two weeks out and have only lost ten pounds. The scale hasn't moved in almost a week!

You are not alone. I am exactly two weeks post op today and have only lost 11 pounds. The scale has not moved in six or seven days. I work out daily and try and get protein and my water in. I see people who lose a minimum of 21 pounds their first two weeks. It's so freakin frustrating. All I think everyday is I am going to be that one person who doesn't succeed with the sleeve! -
I am two weeks out and am losing very slowly, the scale hasn't moved in almost a week and I am wondering if my PCOS has something to do wi this. This surgery is my last hope, I did this to help my PCOS symptoms. I hope I am not having false expectations.

Alright ladies. Here is my story.... I'm currently 28 years old, I would say at age 24 I was diagnosed with PCOS, but I knew something was wrong for awhile before that. I have every symptom that PCOS women can get. Especially the dreaded facial hair. It is so defeminizing that I have to shave my face everyday. I want to cry everyday. Why can't I be normal. I recently got my sleeve surgery two weeks ago as of todáy. My PCOS has always made me lose slowly and I've been struggling to get pregnan with my man. This surgery was my lady hope. I am still worried because ts been two weeks and the scale has not moved in six or seven days, an I'm worried this my ave something to do with my PCOS, losing slowly. And yes, I still have to shave. My question, to you post peppers with PCOS, how has yours changed since surgery, is there any light at the end of the tunnel?

Hey Bella. Let m kno when you break it, we are pretty much the same or near starting weight!

I know lady. It's been 14 days and I have had only one small bm. I have tried everything. Milk of mag, moral ax, two other brand laxatives, ducolax, and the one time I did go I had use a fleet enema.

My full liquids include protein shakes, cream soups, applesauce, cottage cheese, sf pudding, sf Popsicles, sf frozen yogurt....I actually was also able to get down string cheese at this point because its a soft cheese.
