  1. But' date=' why shouldn't she feel bad? And why shouldn't you? Trust me, after surgery you will need to change your eating OR (1) you won't feel good, OR (2) you'll "beat the sleeve" and regain all the weight. The sleeve is not magical. It's all you, and especially your head.

    Good Luck!!![/quote']

I agree about the changes ... it is for life, so we beter start now.

I am on day #4 pre op diet ... and yes I am following my doctor's diet. Not easy ... but hanging in there ☆

  2. It was hard to find a chewable, Gummy, or liquid supplement that does not have artificial sweeteners like sucralose, aspartame or high fructose syrup... and at the same time is high in folic acid and has no Iron or Calcium (since I have both to take separately). It took some work to put together my Vitamins and minerals. I have posted my list here, and will add to it the Alive! Women's gummy Multivitamins with 75 gummies, which has different ingredients than the one with 60. Just read the ingredients if u are looking for something with no artificial sweeteners. Like to know what are u guys planning to take as far as multivitamins...

  3. What is the name on the bottle of Vitamins you take - desperate for a decent Vitamin ( also do you take 1 or 2 a day??)

After 3 weeks going back and forth with vitamins and minerals ... here is what I have (will be using the first 60 days after surgery).

Multivitamins: by Pure encapsulations - Pre Natal Nutrients (just because I want the folic acid). Need to open the capsule and use the powder with liquids or food.< /p>

Calcium: by MRM - Cal-Mag-Zinc liquid

    D3: by twinlab - D3 dots 2000IU

    B12: by twinlab - B12 dots 500mcg

Iron: by Floravital - Iron + Herbs liquid

After lots of research that is what I ended up with. Like to know what u guys will take ... thanks ;D

  4. I am wondering how u guys r doing as far as the pre op diet. I am on a "30 days pre op diet";

    · Two 8 oz. glasses of skim or soymilk milk, mixed with Protein Powder per day

    · I can have three meals a day, which can include

    o
½ cup of cottage cheese, non-fat ricotta cheese or non-fat, sugar free yogurt

    o
2-3 oz. of Water packed tuna, salmon, lean chicken, turkey or tofu

    o
Non-starchy vegies (raw, steamed, boiled or sautéed in 1-2 teaspoons of olive oil).

Since my doc requested a 5lbs weight loss prior to surgery, as during this first week I am taking the carbs away not all at once. Seems like 30 days on this diet would be too much. So here is what I am doing. No rice, bread, Pasta, Beans, potato, no starch. Lots of salad and Protein, some oat meal, Protein Bars and fruits in general. I am planning to reduce the carbs even more next week … and the last 2 weeks go on the diet 100%.

    What do you guys think??

  6. There was a mistake my surgery date is 09/09 and not 9/11 as mentioned in my last post. Well ... I am really excited!! Today I had the pre op class. Just final talking about the surgery, got the RXs for the meds I will take after surgery...got the post op appointments (3 weeks) with my doctor, nutritionist, and physical activity specialist (7 weeks). Oh!! And today the nurse (from hospital) called for the pre surgery talk ... I guess that is about it!! Now, I have to work on the pre op diet and exercise. Whishing all goes well for my fellow sleevers :D

  7. Today, got the phone call, my date will be 9/11 ... hopping to have something good to hope for instead of so much sadness. To be honest, I feel anxious and nervous about what is to come... second guessing sometimes. Will start the 30 days pre op diet and try to do my best with exercising as well. It is really happening! Thanks guys for being here, for the support :)
