Today the weather was perfect. Went for a walk at the lake which went on .. for 5.5 miles. I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow.. started exercising a week ago. Not lifting any weights for now, but planning to do so soon. Actually feeling really good. On Tuesday will be starting soft food. Taking all my Vitamins makes a big difference for me.

I got sleeved on the 9th. In all honesty I feel great. A bit tender at one of the incision sites (really stings when I sneeze! Damn allergies!) But do really feel like Ive been working out my abs alot. I'm.so . Ready to go back to work! I did finally "go" with the aid of M.O.M not bad at all for me. Im actually healing quite well. Thank you God . Im going to attempt a few miles walking today. I can typically do 5 but will shoot for 2 today just to be safe. Keep on praying and healing everyone! Oh yea...as for post op diet..not bad. I was able to get a serving of greek yogart bout 930 this morning. 10oz of premier protien shake bout 1230 & just had serving of applesauce. Have my Water bottle ready to start sipping on in a bit. Takes me about 20 mins or more to do but feel really good especially in the day to run errands and all since im getting my protien started early! Good luck everyone.I was sleeved at the same day .. still not able to "go" ... any advice will be appreciated! Amazef with your smoth recovery!

I would just place it over my shirt on my belly. Never directly on my tummy. Should on be on for 20minutes at a time no longer.
My surgery was on the 9th... and I was in so much gas pain when the nurse offered the heat pad... she placed it on my shoulders instead. It did not help a lot.
-
So how do you use the heating pad? Is it placed directly on your tummy?
The heat pad goes on your back.. close to your shoulders. I does help with the pressure and pain when breathing.

My surgeons nurse called a little while ago to tell me what time to be at the hospital in the morning...6:30 a.m.!!! I was so excited when I told my husband and was talking so fast that he didn't understand me and asked "are you sure she didn't say 10:30"...soooo I had to call back just to make sure. It is officially 6:30 a.m. in the morning! YAY...I keep thinking to myself that I should really be nervous or SOMETHING but I'm not yet. I bet I will be in the morning though! :DJust got home from hospital. .. I am really thirst and tired

So' date=' I waited a long time for this day to come. Tomorrow is surgery day. I was super excited for a while, now I'm still somewhat excited, but also bummed because I feel like there is still a chance I could do this myself. I am mourning food already. I know I will follow everything to a tee as I have these past two weeks on pre-op diet, but still nervous I won't lose the weight. I'm nervous about long term effects since this surgery is so new. I have tried so many times to do this myself like most others on here, and couldn't. So nervous that if I didn't go through with it, I would be miserable and regret not doing it. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and was just diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I think of my perfectly good stomach, and wonder if cutting it out is the right thing to do. Has anyone else felt this way? [/quote']We like to know how u r doing.. keep us posted please. Wishing u a speedy recovery.

Monday is my surgery. When I was getting my EKG today for pre op the nurse asked me if I was getting the bypass and I said no I'm getting the sleeve she told me she had the bypass 2 years ago and I am making the best decision of my life. Se said she is so happy for me and she gave me a hug. It feels so good for other people to tell you about it. And damn. She had a nice looking body. It just reaffirms my decisions through and through. Omg the 9th here I come.Awesome! It does help a lot.. thanks for sharing with us. I am having mine in the 9th as well. Wishing that all goes really well for u.

Have you tried laser hair removal? It's quite affordable now... Thank god! I laser my entire face every 6 weeks for 99 us dollars. I'm quite happy with the results.Where do u go for laser? Any specific recommendation? .. I have tried laser but it left dark spots all over my face. Help please.
-
I used spironolactone too. It helped with my acne' date=' but it did not reduce the hair growth.I've also tried laser hair removal. I was told that if my Hair growth was due to a hormone imbalance that laser hair removal wouldn't be as effective. I had my entire body done. I have very little dark hair on my legs, genital area or under arms, but it did very little for my face
If you do decide to go with laser hair removal, look for specials on Groupon. Be careful to chose a place that uses good lasers as they are not all created equally. Ask the clinic if they use YAG (darker skin) and/or Alexandrite (light / medium skin). The skill of the technician can make a difference too.[/quote']
Thanks for all the tips about laser ... I have so much facial hair right now, and I shave as my skin is really sensitive .. can't let they grow long enough to waxing. Anyways, I've tried laser and ended up with bad dark spots which took more than a year to clear. I would appreciate if u can give me any recommendation on what to look for my skin color. Thanks!

I am supposed to do 1 week of low carb "atkins" type diet and 1 week liquids but I decided to do 2 weeks liquid since its also low carb to give my body a jump start on losing. I didn't qualify through my insurance but I am determined to make changes and get this surgery so I am heading to Mexico for my surgery.
Good luck with your diet... hope all goes well in Mexico. Let's keep in touch. Best wishes.

I am so tired and weak. I havent slept good at all.
Passing the leak test is great news! Why u cant sleep? Is it too noisy? Or the pain is bothering u?
