  6. Hi, I'm from Quincy , SW Michigan , by the Indiana border, I had my surgery done in Ypsilanti in September by Dr. Poplowski. Anyone out there ?

  8. The infamous three week stall. Mine lasted three weeks. Just keep doing exactly what your doing, it will pass.

My Dr. told me, at my two week check up when I lifted my great nephew and was afraid I really messed up my sleeve because I was in a lot of pain, that at that pont the only way to really damage my sleeve was a head on accident with significant abdominal damage. Everything should be healed and at that point just the waiting for internal swelling to go down. Just muscles surgery instruments went through made it painful. Hope this makes you feel better. Happy turkey day.

  12. They did lab work and the fact that I didn't pee only twice a day didn't make them happy. I got 2 bags of IV fluids infused quickly. They gave me the swallow test and found that the valve in the bottom of my stomach was slow to release. Problably fron throwing up it was inflamed. They gave me a stronger PPI and it has been great.
  13. Wow, so you are at goal now and have to have this done? Keep your head up, you've been with your Dr this long and trusted him, I'm sure he has thought through all possibilities for you.

  15. I had a bad case of this. I ended up in the hospital for dehydration. You may need to call your surgeon and tell them that you need a stronger PPI. The gerd was the problem with me. It helped me 100% . Good luck!
  16. I don't know what the protein is in that oatmeal but I just found Special K Protein, it has 10 G protein and 3 g fiber. Sugar is 7g a bit high. Check it out.

  18. I was sleeved 9/17. From Michigan. Went thru a few bumps but hope to be comfortable with you all soon. Good for all of us!!!

  20. Ht=5'5" Highest weight= 259 Surgery weight= 254 Goal weight = 160 Current weight= 235 Surgery 3 weeks ago 9/17/13 Age= 53 Good luck with your stats. Let us know what you find out. I would like to know if age is a factor.
  21. I chose VSG because I had (have) a lot of medical problems. (Diabetes, high blood pressure, start of heart disease , high cholesterol ) You get the idea. I am over 50 and I figure at some poin,t hopefully years from now, I may have to take meds again and I wanted a stomach that can properly digest and metabolize them.
