Yes I have Bluecare network in Mi and they are ver strict with your pcp appointments if theybare not consecutive for 6 months straight you have to restart all over again.

Hi I just met with my second surgeon today at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and I was told that even though I am completing my 6 month requirements that they used your start weight for your insurance because they know that most doctors required you to try and loose weight before your surgery. I hope this helps.

I agree with the above statements you need to be comfortable, with your PCP. I just got a new PCP and they are slow with completing my doctor approval letter since I have just began seeing them. I requested that my last doctor complete a letter as well do to the fact that I have been with them for over 15 years. I was going to have the sleeve procedure but my surgeon said he believes I would benefit more with the gasytric bypass do to my health issues . I was also a little bit bum to know it will take 6 months as a required from my insurance to pay 100 percent of everything. Thanks for listening.

I am so excited for you , I am in the predicament , I meet with the first consultant today and I'm hoping I get a date, my second choice told me it would take 6 months and I meet with them tomorrow at 1:30.,

Congrats, I have begun ordering items in prep for my surgery and I am at the beginners stage, I ave order my blender, an unjury to see if I like it, I have tried different protein shakes but premier protein has been the best, hopefully next Wednessday I will have more news after I meet with the doctor.

Hi elsnanny you and I are in the same boat, I am going to my of irst support group this Thursday in Mi and then I have a 3 hour meeting next Friday with the doctor to discuss my options, what I need to do I'm looking forward to this journal . Congratulation for making a life changing decisions .
