  1. My experience has been different from almost all i have read. First of all, I had no pre op diet except soup only 24 hours before surgery. I went in to the hospital on 8/27 at about 6am. My surgery was at 8am. I woke up in the recovery room about 10:30. I was a little sore, but nothing like I expected. At 3:00 the same day I was at home watching television. I have not had any complications. Has anyone else had a pretty easy time like this? I was expecting to worse.
  2. Has anyone else's doctor told them to stay away alcohol for 2 years? I haven't heard anyone else being told this. Something about giving the liver time to heal.
  3. I also am being sleeved on the 27th. My Doctor just has me going on an all liquid diet on the day before, no other restrictions. It all depends on the doctors way of doing things.
  4. I'm scheduled for August 27th. This thing just got real. I wasn't nervous before, but now I'm starting to have my doubts. I'm afraid I won't be able to maintain a strict diet and not be successful. Is this normal? Has anyone else has the same concern? I also found out that my Doctor doesn't require a special diet pre-op. he just has you fast 24 hours before surgery. Having my doubts.
