  1. Congratulations Paula, 67 pounds is fantastic. What do you think has caused your stall? What does the nutritionist say? I really like Dr Juarez, but went to Dr. Arnold at St. Joes. He had similar dogs, I know sounds lame but it meant a lot to me, as I am all about the dogs. I am slowing down in my weight loss but it continues to go down. I eat around 800-900 calories a day and still do not have a lot of carbs. It seems to work. I should hit my goal which is similar to yours in about 10 pounds. Your weight will come off, keep on track and it will. Again congratulations.

It could be my sweet tooth, because I exercise and eat healthy.. Everyday! I just like my sweets too!

  2. Have you started journaling everything you eat? Writing it down can sometimes help you figure it out. How much exercise are you doing?

I exercise now about 4 times a week.. It's funny I feel like I don't know what to do anymore.. I feel lost.. I need to pack away the scale and not think about it for a week or more!

  3. Hello August sleevers!

I now want to tell my story! August 2009 I got real sick. I kept having un-resolving Pneumonia. I was admitted into the hospital and the ICU. After two lung biopsies and a 3 month awesome stay at Sutter Medical Hospital, I was finally given the cause of my vacation! I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis.. I was put on steroids for 6 months and went from 155 to 260 in 4 in a half months. I was chronically depressed. Overnight I couldn't fit any of my own clothes. I had to wear my husbands sweats until I was able to buy clothes. I never had to exercise or diet before so I didn't know how. I never had problems with weight or food.. That is not my story. I felt more helpless and hopeless than anyone. I couldn't think about diets for 2 years. I was on oxygen breathing at 67%. I had to use a walker all over again because of lying in a hospital bed for months! But don't feel bad for me I had a pimp out walker.. The first time I approached weight loss surgery I was denied twice. No surgeon would touch me.. They were concerned with my lungs. So I went diet crazy! I paid over thousands in the newest and fastest fad.. Nothing worked! I hated my life! To add insult to injury my doctors tell me I need to lose the weight because it as affecting my breathing.. And of course I have a sarcastic brain so I told them with a smile, "You gave me a pill to gain the weight now give me a pill to lose the weight!" So then my husband was transferred to Az. And to my surprise I found a doctor that was willing to perform weight loss surgery! I was scheduled August 28th 2013 and it was a success! I loss a total of 67lbs but been at a stall for the past 2 months! This sucks! But I have faith that I will get to my goal..

  4. How's it going everyone? Great I hope! I hope everyone is still working hard and staying happy! I know if you hit a plateau it gets tough and frustrating, I am at that point myself right now. But you can't let it get you down. If anything, let it get you motivated to work harder. Maybe start redoing some exercises we may have had some success with but slowly got away from. Maybe relooking at our eating habits and making sure we are not slipping back into old ways. I recently looked at these things and it scared me what I was seeing. Time to get refocused! Stay strong everyone...we are all here for each other!

911 Help! I have hit a stall now for 2 months.. And yes I eat everything but in moderation, my sleeve works very well! I need help getting back on tract I don't know what to do? The good part is that I haven't gained any weight! I just haven't loss any either.. Your thoughts would be most appreciated..

    Total loss 64lbs..

I'm loosing slow but I am loosing! I average about 5lbs a month! I like how I am loosing because it is giving my body the chance to adjust with the weight loss! I have not loss any hair because I take hair Vitamins and drink Protein Shakes still, two issues I have, 1) flabby skin on my arms and stomach.. 2) I feel like I'm loosing everywhere else besides my hips and but! Any whoo I'm thankful! I have 56 more pounds to go for my goal weight of 140.. I will get there!

  7. Hair loss IS REAL!

I had a full head of hair and I am just realizing why my hair has thinned tremendously! It is because of the sleeve! I totally forgot this could happen and just recently cutt most of it off. It thinned so bad in the front. SMH. So, it happened to me, I am not sure if everyone may go throguh the same things.

Your hair fall out or thin because the body is lacking Protein, so it start pulling it from the hair and nails.. You have to keep up with your protein intake! 60-70 grams of protein a day!

    Welcome Cynthia,

  10. I did HCG years ago. It was wonderful. I'm 9 wks post-op and am about to start it again. I am doing the homeopathic drops. I figure if I'm already following a diet similar (low in fat, low in carbs, concentrate on Protein first), then I might as well take advantage of the extra benefit of HCG.

Did any of you who were thinking about it, do it?

So how have the HCG worked out for you? I was really thinking of doing it myself I am 5 months post opt and my but and hips are still huge, but I'm small at top! I want my weight loss to be even!

  14. Don't beat your self up over a simple mistake. Correct the problem' date=' you've come to far at this point. I've eating a few suckers, it not the end of the world. Go back and read over the food items to avoid your foot dine now. If you must trash those snickers. Tell your kids the ants got into them. Lol![/quote']

    Too funny! Thank you!

  15. You are human' date=' This happens, Let it go and today is another day. You can not go back and change it, but you can change it today and foward on. Be happy you have a start over mode. You can do it. You are going to be just fine. Look at what you have accomplished this far.[/quote']

    Thank You!

  16. . Time to remind yourself why you had the surgery and took the brave steps to be sleeved. Forgive yourself for the slip' date=' it's going to happen from time to time, and look forward again. None of us got to needing to have WLS because we were angels when it came to food and healthy choices. But you made a huge decision and took a stand, so just remind yourself of why you did it, remind yourself of the sweet victories and re-engage the brain to forge ahead. YOU CAN DO IT, keep telling yourself that! Don't give up because of a bump in the road or for a few pounds that you might gain when as a result of the bumps. You have the tool to get back on the path so now you need to make your brain recommit to it and look forward...not back. All the best![/quote']

    Thank you! So so much!
