    Hey burtie! I thought that was you! We got sleeved about the same time same dr. (Dr jay)Good to see you r doing so wonderfully! Way to go! Can't wait till I can say I'm 8lbs to goal ! I'm over the halfway mark tho. Congrats on the awesome NSVs !
  2. I am very excited about this idea! I have not had a support group to be part of at all since surgery. There is one in my town but after attending three meetings I found there was no structure to them at all all it was was basically a gossip session. What I was looking for was encouragement. Advice on what to eat or not eat. Work out support and so on . I hope there will be one close enough for me to be a part of. My dr is almost 3 hrs from here so I don't go to those it's too far.

    Size reality?!

    I am at my 81 lb lost mark. A little more than halfway to goal my problem is I don't really know what size I actually started at. I wore loose things so they stretched. Now the same jeans I've had for a while size 22 are finally too big. But I can still wear them even if a bit baggy. Bought one new pair about two months ago size 20. These fit but a bit loose. I get discouraged and can't wait for these clothes to actually be too big. I guess I still feel so big I don't acknowledge I've made progress. It's been so slow.
  4. How far out do they cover it? I'm 10 months out and could sure use the help buying shakes. I skip a lot if days now as it is with finances. It would be so awesome to get them regularly ! Oh and I'm a little over halfway to goal

    Anybody got tattoos??

    I have 3. A burple(bluish purple) m&ms guy wearing a cowboy hat and boots. It's for my dad. He collected them. I got his initials where the m would normally be A stone heart on my left shoulder. Reminds me how sting I can be when need be Another more colorful heart on my right shoulder

    onederland!

    Congrats! It's such a wonderful feeling to see the scale below 200! I hit onederland not long ago and it's great! Been so slow. Fight for each lb but man it's nice when I actually see results! Keep up the good work!!! Yea for u!!
  7. I had mine day after. Worst part of the whole procedure. Had to drink bitter yellow stuff and the only thing that kept me from throwing up was the thought of having to start whole test over
  8. I too started losing hair at about 4-5 months out. Nothing slowed it down and I didn't realize how bad it was until I took a picture of my head from the side to se how a Barrett looked and caught a glimpse of the back of my head. I was so completely shocked to see the scalp showing through in several places!! Sat down and cried right there. Then I called my daughter in law( who is a hair dresser) made an appt and we decided to go short. Above. The shoulders. Which is very short for me. Always have had long hair. (You know, to hide my fat, at least in my mind lol. )2 No regrets at all! Still have some fallout but at almost 11 months out it has slowed down. Protein protein protein for me. I just try very hard to look at where I've come in my journey and where my end goal will bring me and I know that all this is definitely worth it! Would not hesitate to make this decision if I knew all I'd face cuz I'm still down 82 lbs and know I couldn't have done it without this surgery to give me the tools I needed and believe I'll make it the next 60 lbs (eventually). It's slow but still coming off so I'm happy. It gets better. :-)

    Cottage cheese with pineapple Protein yogurt Jerky Mexican shrimp cocktail Peanut butter with saltines Recovery milk Think thin protein bars Ham Veggie omlets Jennie I turkey sausage And green olives which I never liked before lol Venison or lamb

    First "fast day" of 5:2 plan

    Yes protein is what I eat first. No drinking before or after. My carbs have indeed increased some. I try to eat the right foods. It has been more difficult lately with a decreased grocery budget to buy what I need and what the family is willing to eat. I have not been faithful to do my exercise daily. And have stopped logging my intakes when I was logging(two months back now) I was eating 820 cal a day trying to hit my 70-90grms of protein. sooo. I can see the first steps for me will be to start logging and exercising. I still want to know how to do the 5:2 and try that also. Thanks. There r no support groups in my area so I've been pretty much flying solo.

    Can someone please tell me exactly how to do the 5:2 plan? I'm almost at my yr mark and have been stalled for several months. Literally down only 2 lbs since thanksgiving! I need to do something to get the lbs coming off. I am down 80 lbs since surgery. But have 60plus to go still!"" Also my dr never really outlined a plan for me to follow and I wasn't required to see a nut after surgery and only a few times before surgery. Can someone give me some guidelines that they follow? I pretty much have just tried to figure it on my own Oh and has anyone had to up their Omeprazole intake after this far out? I take 40mg since surgery but noticed in the past several weeks I have the same feeling in my chest like when I didn't take the meds ( like in the beginning when only taking Pepcid ) the sensation like I maybe have to burp, a kinda burning feeling and uncomfortable pressure if I bend over also burping again and feeling "hunger " type gurgling frequently. I have an appt with my family dr today to see if she thinks it's cuz I need to up the dose or what. (My surgeons too far away and plus with all the new insurance changes too expensive) Sorry for rambling. Haven't been on much and miss the support

    November fitness challenge

    Finally found this thread! Haven't been able to navigate new format and can't find any if the threads I was following .... I have made my goal everyday and am now at 10 sit-ups! Oh and since I haven't found the thread yet I'll post here... I have FINALLY hit onederland !!!! Am at 199.0. WOOT!!!
