  2. It's interesting, the clothing size thing. No matter how 'small' I was when I was younger (161lbs), I was still a UK size 14 (US 12 - I think). Nutritionist told me I'd get to a size 12. He is deluded. No one can have Irish hod-carrying shoulders like mine and get into a 12. Fact. I should be seeing him soon, so it'll be interesting to see if he re-evaluates this point....
  3. Start:240 Goal: 140 Total loss required: 100 Current loss (@192) = 48 No maths required. 48% Huzzah! Btw, that's amazing in 10 weeks.
  4. Ok. Going to try BMI watching instead! That was a push in the right direction! So, we are NOT sad! We are focused and positive! Thanks you! So what was her BMI - this super-loser?!
  5. I am usually the first to NOT compare, but, I DID! I compared!! I admit it! I got sucked into the comparing comparisons! And to further my anguish, at this point in the game, you were almost 20lbs ahead of me! S**t, I compared again. Getting back in my hidey hole. Dude! Look at your BMI! What is HER BMI? You're at 28 at 5.5 months. Lipstick is at 27.5 after 10 months (that's not a criticism, btw, darling). Its all relative. Relative to us. I am going to definitely start ignoring the pounds and seriously start focussing on the BMI. I think in that way the truth lies.... That is my thought for the day
  6. Seeing as most of your taste sensors are in your nose - you should have something to compare it with! Surely?! As for the super-duper loss.. What's their BMI? I'm starting to overlook the numbers now and am straight away eyeing the BMI at the milestone marks. Fascinating..... And get out from under your covers and go and eat some Protein I am.. I have BBQ ribs in the oven. That will be my second dinner. I have worms today. Eating like a proverbial pig
  7. 47% is mega groovy. Happy Days!
  8. Fanks, Chica. Data, yes, some habits die hard!
  9. Eh? I didn't see that. Who has lost 80lbs in 4 months? I personally think the BMI thing is interesting... It appears that everyone stalls at the same stages of the BMI reduction journey. Irrespective of the weight they're at when they hit those BMI points. Its like the body calibrating. Very interesting. Someone call a scientist! And don't go to Maccy-D's. It tastes like dog poo. Literally.
  10. I'll be happy knowing that the window won't shut any second now! That is all
  11. 291 - 150 = 141lbs to lose 291 - 213 = 78lbs lost so far 78 / 141 = 0.5531 x 100 = 55.3% of excess weight lost so far.
  12. You are not alone. There are hundreds of us on this website! You are alone in making this decision - but all adults are. You have a husband that loves and supports you. What more do you need? Zone out the noise, listen to your heart, get cuddles from your husband and make this decision for yourself and stand by it. Don't seek the affirmation and approval of others. They're not living your life for you after all. Deep breaths and learn to be comfortable and secure in your own decision making skills - in whatever direction you choose. Best of luck:)

    Skin feel crawly?

Its probably the come-down of the painkillers and the anesthetic leaving your body. Try and get loads of water in and it will flush it out soon enough.

    Reached My Goal Weight Today!

Whoop Whoop! Well done, girl. Awesome achievement
  15. 17 pounds in 13 days? Erm, Yes.
  16. I think you're doing better than us, my dear. 2 points of BMI is a big difference at 6 months. I guess that's what's worrying me. I certainly hope I hit the BMI 24. 161lbs would put me at BMI 23 on the nose. I think that might be better - or though much much harder to achieve at this rate. I'm wondering if my PCOS has a part to play in all this.....
  17. I really can't see the progress that much, I realize it's in my head, but still..... I hope I'm not putting the tape in the wrong place, because then I would have the fabulous 12.5 inch neck...jelly? I don't see the progress in myself, either. Went to a do the other night and hated the way I looked. I thought I'd be smaller than I actually was. It made me a little sad. Also made me wonder whether when and if I hit goal, whether I should actually try for the 161 - because I don't think 173 will give me the result I'm looking for. I dunno. Its hard, all of this 'in our heads' business....
  18. You look fabulous. I can't see how your hips haven't decreased, because in the pictures, you're looking much much smaller. Sure you're not putting the measuring tape in the wrong place?!!
  19. I love data, me! It is interesting - we have very similar stats. I used to have MyFitnessPal, until I lost my smartphone two weeks ago. Hurrumpf So, based on your data, I should hopefully hit my target by the end of the year. That would be very cool.
  20. The figures are looking good. Out of interest, what's the column in the far right for and how tall are you? I want my neck to go down to 12 inches! Waaaaah! I have a mans neck!
  21. I really don't know.. I'd certainly appreciate some feedback on this from those who are 6 months plus.
  22. Thanks, babe. I did it because I knew there'd be times when the scale wouldn't move - and for my sanity, I needed to see something - anything - going in the right direction. Inches lost made me feel better about things. I am just really sad and love data!
  23. Would it surprise you to know that I'm a bit anal like that?! lol Call it the analyst in me!

    Sex?

I think the sensible answer to this, is 'when you both feel ready'. Slow and steady wins the race - in all respects!
