Just weighed myswlf a few minutes ago & I am now officially out of the 300's!!!! I was 321 lbs the day I came hone from surgery & today 4 weeks out I am now..... wait for it.... wait for it.... ok here it is.... I a. Now 297 lbs!!!!!! YAY!!!!! I am now down 24 lbs since the day I had surgery!!!!! I am so happy & proud of myself for going through with my surgery' date=' making it through my melt downs, & for losing those 24 lbs & no longer being in the 300's anymore!!!! I do however believe I may have lost a little more but unfortunately after a year & 1/2 of not having my monthly it came a half hour before I weighed myself. I had forgotten just how painful mine could be until today so I will be resting & hoping this advil kicks in soon bcuz right now I am doubled over in pain but I will not let that stop me from being so happy for my progress!!!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!!![/quote']Congrats Cherbear Great progress. Praying you feel better quickly.

Thank you!!!! I know I'm taking what was said to me and trying my best to run with it but deep down when I take a break from life I realize I am worrying too much!!!! I've been thinking things like I'm gonna be the one person this doesn't work on even though I can't eat but a few bits then I'm full as a tick!!!
I'm only getting about 400 calories in a day' date=' I haven't went over 500 or even close. Today I drank 1/2 a shake for Breakfast, 1/2 for lunch, drank about 3 oz of G2 (been feeling dehydration nearing) I've been dehydrated in the past a few times so don't want to chance it and the g2 usually helps! I had some really mushed up chicken for supper! Of course I had Water throughout the day. I can't eat much food without regurgitating so I'm back on the shakes and more liquid or pureed items for a while! I'm sorry I tend to go on and on, I haven't told many people about this surgery so I ramble when I get in here!!!! Y'all are the only ones that I have to talk to about it )[/quote']
Divine - ramble away. That's what this place is for. I too, haven't told many people about my surgery, so this group, along with a couple if family members are my sounding board also. Keep doing what you are doing & listen to your body. You are doing great.

How soon did Dr. G let you go back to work? Were you still on your clear liquids for a week? How do you feel now?
I was off work 2 weeks. I was on clear liquids 1st week; back to Dr; moved me to full-liquids for 5 days; Started soft foods the weekend before I went back to work.

So when I went to the surgeon I was 447 (6'1). When I went for my 2 week pre op visit I was 428. Started my 2 week pre op diet and was 409 the day of surgery (7/18/13). Today 3 weeks post op I am 378 pounds. First 50 pounds off from pre op diet till today.I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my sleeve!!!!
I really wish I did this in my twenties' date=' but at 33 I will be healthy by 35!!![/quote']
Wow! WTG. Congrats on your great success.

Sapphiero - take your time. Chew really well & listen to your body. Some move quickly through types of food & others stay at each level for a number of weeks. Your body will let you know when it is ready to move in. Don't be afraid, just slow & careful. You'll be fine.

Wow! Great reports. Congrats everyone.

I had the band installed in 2006. Dealt with the same up & down yo-yo as you describe from 2007 until my revision surgery on 7/16/13. I know I'm only 2 weeks out; but I can already tell a big difference. Third day & 7th day were the worst for me. Dealt with diarrhea until moved to soft food this past weekend. Amazing to be truly full after only a few ounces & not be overly hungry for 3 hours or so until time to eat again. Hardest thing for me is not drinking 30 min. before, during & 30 min. after eating. I've heard many different plans from everyone in this group; so go by what your doctor and/or nutritionist say. You can do this.

Sounds like we are all pushing through & getting past the pain. If you are still having pain, take comfort knowing that this too shall pass. While we each have a bit different path; we are all going to be so much healthier & happier each passing day. Keep posting ups & downs so we can encourage each other through the rough Patches & Celebrate with each other over our successes.

Good luck. I'm 9 days out & my first follow-up went very well.

Any other newbies on this journey out there?? Had my sleeve on Tuesday, 7/16; so I'm 9 days out. Day 3 has been the worst so far. Think I possibly have temporary (I hope) lactose-intolerance as I'm struggling with some bowel issues; but beyond that, I feel very good. Not being hungry all the time is wonderful. Still hard to get in the habit of not drinking for 30 min. before; during; and 30 min. after eating. How is everyone else making out?
