  1. Thanks for the update. My surgery is tomorrow.
  2. My surgery is tomorrow at 10:00 am eastern time in Chattanooga, TN. So far I've lost 9 pounds before my pre-op diet, and 16 pounds on my 2-week liquid pre-op diet for a total of 25 pounds. I've got about 93 pounds to go to reach my goal of 200. If you don't mind, send up a little prayer for me. I'm not nervous, I just believe in the power of prayer. Thanks in advance! Dana
  3. Glad you're doing well. My surgery is tomorrow 3-6-14.
  4. My surgery is tomorrow ladies. Get your tickets in advance. LOL.
  5. Tomorrow is my surgery and as recent as yesterday my boss asked me if I was really sure this surgery is what I wanted to do. UGH!!! I think he has good intentions but just shut up please.
  6. My 2 week pre-op liquid diet ends in 2 days. I've lost 15.8 lbs so far. I weigh 293 and hope to hit 289 by Thursday. The diet was quite challenging at times. Especially when the rest of the family was having dinner. They tried to be thoughtful and not eat in front of me but it was still tough. Surgery is Thursday 3-6-14 and I'll be on Clear liquids for a week after that. Then I progress to full liquids for 2 weeks. That makes 5 weeks of liquids. I'm gonna end up losing all my weight just by being on 5 weeks of a liquid diet. lol Good luck to us both.
  7. I'm being sleeved Thursday 3-6-14. Thanks for the update. Nice to hear.
  8. Great job. You should be very proud.
  9. I understand your nervousness. I'm nervous too. My surgery is on Thursday 3-6-14. Hang in there. It won't be so bad. They'll put you to sleep and when you wake up it will all be over with. Good luck.
  10. You'll do great. My surgery is Thursday so I understand the nerves.
  11. I'm getting sleeved on Thursday. Good luck.
  12. That's good were gonna be sleeve buddies I am new to the forums and am also a March 6 sleever! =) Not long now. How's your pre-op diet going? I've lost 15 pounds so far. I haven't cheated any but there have been times that were tough. The liquid diet alone makes you lose weight and I'll end up having 5 weeks of liquids only. The first two weeks are for the pre-op diet, then I have one week of Clear Liquids after surgery, then I have two more weeks of the liquid diet before I progress on to pureed foods. I should be down 25-40 lbs just with the liquid diet alone. Heck, I'll be 1/3 of the way to goal after the liquid diet. Good luck on Thursday guys. I know we'll all do great. I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Dana
  13. I'm on March 6th as well. I'm starting day 8 of my 2-week pre-op diet today. I lost 12.6 pounds the first week. My diet is full liquids; no solid food at all. I have 5 Glucerna shakes a day, chicken broth, G2 Gatorade, Water, and tomato Soup. I haven't cheated any. The diet was a real challenge for a couple of days but then I didn't feel so hungry anymore. I'm in the groove now. You did very well on week 1 of your diet. Keep it up. Dana
  14. Thank you for your input. I appreciate it.
  15. Where can I find various brands of protein drinks in single servings so that I can buy one of each to try?
  16. I'm March 6th too.
  17. I hate Bariatric Advantage shakes too. I paid $100 for them from my surgeon and they are terrible. I had the option to use Glucerna shakes instead and that's what I've done. They are so much better.
  18. I'm on day 5 of my diet. My surgery is March 6th. It's not the most pleasant thing but it is doable. Hang in there. You'll be able to handle it.
  19. I'm March 6th. Thirteen days to go.
  20. One week for me but it took them a while longer to finally fax the approval letter to my surgeon. Call them every other day and as soon as they say you're approved, have them fax the letter right then.
