Eye Candy is on it's way. Right now it's still sort of an eye astigmatism. LOL. I'm one month out and have lost 23 pounds so far. I expect to reach my goal weight in two to three months from now. I've got some front row tickets for the show that will go to the first lady that will post an eye candy pic for me.

I eat too fast, any tips?
danaevett replied to Amanda121279's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I set the timer on my phone for one minute. Two minutes would probably be even better. -

Post sleeve and head hunger -- what is it like for you?
danaevett replied to Skywalker's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am one month post op and I do have hunger. It seems to be real hunger because I can tell the difference between head hunger and real hunger. Apparently I'm not one of the lucky ones who doesn't experience hunger anymore. Oh well. It hasn't slowed me down any. I've lost 23 pounds so far. The biggest problem I've had so far is over eating. I can't eat very much but my head thinks I can. I find myself putting way too much on my plate. (Just like pre-op.) I am learning to recognize the feeling of me starting to get full. If I take it slow, and only take small bites, I can manage pretty well. If I don't, and I get too full, it feels like the food has filled up my stomach as well as my lower esophagus. That is not a pleasant feeling. Several times my mouth has started watering profusely and I have had to throw up. It's interesting though, I only throw up a small amount and it seems to only be the food in my lower esophagus. It doesn't empty my stomach. Just enough that I feel better. Sorry for the TMI. Hope this helps. -

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?
danaevett replied to NewSetOfCurves's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I would have gotten it done sooner. No kidding. I'm 26 days out and have lost 21 pounds since surgery. 21 pounds makes a huge difference. I also lost 19 pounds on the 2 week liquid diet before surgery for a total of 40 pounds. I feel great. I'm only 54 pounds away from my goal of 215 now. I predict it will take another two months or less to lose that. -
My surgery was on March 6th and I'm doing great. I've lost 18 lbs in 21 days. No complications to speak of.

Pain On The Right Side Of Belly Button
danaevett replied to TamaraS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am three weeks out and I've experienced the same pain since day one. It's not a terrible pain, just a dull, nagging pain. It hasn't gotten any worse though. Hang in there, I'm sure it will go away for both of us. -
4 weeks out, not too many complaints
danaevett replied to CubsWinCubsWin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was on March 6th and I started on my liquid diet on February 20th. I've lost 37 pounds since starting the liquid diet. I feel absolutely great. I can eat anything I want. The biggest problem I've had is eating too much a few times and getting sick as a result. I'd do this again 100,000 times over. Way to go CubsWin. You're doing great. -
Super nice car, and yes, you do look really cute standing next to it.

How much weight did you loose in the first 4 weeks?
danaevett replied to willow13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
14.2 lbs after 19 days. -
My surgery is tomorrow at 10:00 am eastern time in Chattanooga, TN. So far I've lost 9 pounds before my pre-op diet, and 16 pounds on my 2-week liquid pre-op diet for a total of 25 pounds. I've got about 93 pounds to go to reach my goal of 200. If you don't mind, send up a little prayer for me. I'm not nervous, I just believe in the power of prayer. Thanks in advance! Dana

My surgery is tomorrow. I have been on a pre-op liquid diet for the past two weeks. From what I've read, it is very normal.
