Thanks Measureofme & Cidmor...It's great to hear all the Info & the positives. It amazes me though how everyone mentions the gas...it must be awful! I don't think I will like that part at all. I already have gas issues and more doesn't sound pleasing...lol!

I think I remember my BMI being 53.7 I will most likely try and come up with the extra because I know I cannot lose it on my own without the surgery. NerdInOregon, I really like all I'm reading about Dr. Aceves. Almost Everyone seems to have had a wonderful experience and are losing well. I appreciate the recommendation. I don't remember if you said, but did you book thru a coordinator or direct? Can I get the direct number you called to get it started/booked? Now the hotel in SanDiego thats a first I heard of the surgeons putting ya up overnight? Howcome they do that? Was your surgery the next day? What is his PreOp requirments like? Does he charge more for a higher BMI#?

You are so detailed, I love that! Thank You. I love the price and the hospital looks real clean/nice but I think I would need more of the PreOp testing for reassurance, and nurses and doctors being more there for me in a sense. You must be pretty independant person to be able to do this surgey without them doing the tests and such. I would be freaking out. How? how are you being so strong?

I know the thought of crushing them and swallowing is so gross. Would dilutting them in 1/4 hot water and drinking it be ok? I cannot be without my prescribed meds so I will have to tell the surgeon when the time comes.

Lots of Questions: Do you know what size bougie does he do? Is it an actual hospital or a clinic he does the surgery in? Is the the put you up in a Hotel like a Holiday Inn? or more like a Hotel 6 type? How much for everything? (excluding of course plane tickets)

I am right there with Cponco26...totally can relate. I am so VERY nervous. I'm still trying to decide if I want Dr. Ramos Kelly, maybe Dr. Alberto Aceves, maybe Dr.Alejandro Lopez-Ortega, maybe Jacqueline Osuna-Rubio? Questions: 1- If it's only 3 days how does Dr.Kelley know you won't leak? 2- How many leak tests does Dr.Kelly do? 3) Is the border really a 1-3 hour wait in & out? because when I'm anxious or nervous I always tend to have to do # one/two a lot. Yes, I realize thats embarrasing to admit but I just have to ask. Especially after this one weight loss coordinator told me that there is no bathrooms to stop at and use at or near the border. So, how do people who have similar nervous bathroom issues not mess their undies if they gotta go... gotta go... gotta go right then? Seriously though...how?
