  1. Oh that would be great...I've been "preparing" myself mentally for an all liquid diet...I hope you are right and that I am wrong!!! I have a high BMI (50) so I was thinking maybe that meant I needed to do liquid first...Sara did make a point of saying "two weeks of liquid pre op and two weeks of liquid post op". I guess I'll find out on Monday...
  2. Hope I don't sound stupid but...dr. Foote's assistant Sara told me I'll be on a two week liquid diet. Wouldn't that be different than your two week pre op of meals, bars, soup, etc?
  3. What a great post. Thank you. I'm scheduled for August 26th and feel like this VST has helped me prepare so much!!!
  4. To those who are with Grand Health Partners: what is the pre op diet like and how hard was it to stick to? I go to the half day class on Monday. Hope everyone is doing well, thanks,Elana.
  5. 7 weeks out? Great!! Are you feeling back to normal? How was our recovery overall? Are you please with our weight loss results?
  6. You look fantastic!! Just keep looking at your before and afters to keep motivated...
  7. You look amazing!!! Your photos are very inspirational to me. I'm getting sleeved on the 26th...
  8. And you look amazing by the way!!!
  9. Uh, LGP, is that you?? It's me, Elana, about to have the procedure in three weeks!!!
  10. Hi all! Getting sleeved August 26. I have a Magic Bullet to blend and purée. Is that sufficient? Also was thinking about getting a large Tervis cup for all the "sipping" that everyone talks about, rather than my preferred method of drinking through a straw...any other tools or tips to offer? Thanks!!
  11. How long we're you on the liquid diet? That's a lot to lose!! Good for you!
  12. I have been having a " farewell tour" of sorts but haven't been going overboard. Just choosing to cook or order what I feel like eating with my family knowing that my pre op diet of liquids starts on the 13th. My surgery date is the 26th. I have house guests till the 6th and after they leave I plan to give up one meal a day for a protein shake, stop eating at night, and stop drinking my one daily cup of coffee. I have already given up carbonation. I think how you feel is totally normal. I think you could probably enjoy some favorite foods before surgery without going crazy.
  13. I am also with Dr. Foote. August 26! Yours is coming up so soon!! How was your pre op diet experience?
  14. You look great and you have a fantastic attitude!! I am waiting for my surgery August 26...!! Keep up the good work!!
  15. Got my surgery date--August 26 at St. Mary's with Dr. Foote, GHP. So excited!!!
  16. So excited to read these rave reviews! I just scheduled my surgery with Dr. Foote at St. Mary's for August 26, 2013. Pre-op diet starts August 12...
  17. Just arranged the surgery date!!! August 26!!! Pre-op diet begins August 12. Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids, MI. Dr. Foote. Sooooo excited!!!!!
  18. How are you doing? I'm also with Grand Health Partners. Did you have your surgery in Grand Rapids? Hope you are doing well!!!
  19. I'm working with Dr. Foote, Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids, MI. Waiting for my sleep study to be completed and then hopefully schedule a date at end of August. His assistant is not good at returning phone calls so I'm a little frustrated...
  20. Me too!! Well. I don't have my date yet but also going with dr. Foote. I live in Ada!!
  21. Awesome!! My dr office won't schedule my surgery until sleep study is complete. Insurance is approved though. Are you having surgery in Detroit? My middle child is at camp outside of Detroit right now. Ortonville...going there next Friday to pick her up. What kind of pre-op diet will you be facing?
