  1. Well surgery was 25 days ago today! Wow already....I tried to eat a little price of hamburger dipped in ketchup today....a few cheese puffs....and watermelon....everything was great even though I knew maybe u shouldn't be eating this already! But it was a BBQ so I figured a quarter size amount would not kill me! Big mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was SO sick alllllllll day! Not ready for this yet I don't think! But close!

  2. I have a question for the sleevers who are 3 weeks out or more. I really want to go to a football game but its only 3 weeks after my sleeve date. Do you guys think I'll be ok to go? How did you feel at 3 weeks?

Everyone's different but I feel great! You should be fine! I was sleeved aug 1st

  3. Having a WTH have I done to myself day....they come and go...but today I am really struggling! And it's my birthday :( maybe that's why? I have been super sick the last couple of days so I am unsure why! But I know that's were this feeling is coming from! You'll have good days and bad! Hopefully my day turns Aroind soon!

  4. I'm a September Sleever myself' date=' just popping in to see how everyone is doing with their new sleeves? Also, wishing successful procedures to everyone who is still waiting their turn![/quote']

Doing really good here! Have trouble some days getting in liquids and then others its a breeze! Only complication is Constipation ugh! But recovery has been fairly easy! Good luck to you! It's an amazing journey and is mental challenging at times but I wouldn't take it back for a minute!

  5. I'm also day 4! Pay attention to the fluids you're taking in. My body isn't agreeing with plain Water or crystal light/Mio. I get those bubbles and heartburn. Walking eases the pressure. Try diet V8 splash. It goes down smoothly.

I think its almost like trial and error lol! Crystal light gives me masssssiiiivvvveee heartburn! I have moved on to pureeds....it felt terrible the first couple of days but its getting easier. I have been eating baked potatoes and they are yummy. Plus rotisserie chicken with gravy. Just gotta chew it up right away! It will get better! SO happy for you my sleeve sister!

  6. I had surgery on Monday. I've done pretty well. I've had a little pain in my lower left side since yesterday afternoon. I'm hoping this will get better after they take the drain out. I've been walking too. I'll get the drain out and the leak test In about an hour. Then I'm headed back to the states! Time has flown by! I'm sure hoping I'm doing really well by Monday. It will be my kids first day back to school and I'll be returning back to work. Best wishes to all!

Wait a second? Your returning back to work Monday? Eek! Your a trooper!!! I was sleeping most of the day Away the first week just because of the lack of food your getting you'll be exhausted! Listen to your body! If its tired let it rest! You'll be healing for the next 6-8 weeks!

  7. I didn't have any pain meds after surgery!! That's good. I was starting to wonder if I even had surgery but the soreness at the incision sites were a reminder. Oh and the gas. Lol

I took the meds :-) why not take them and feel excellent? They helped me sleep too since sleeping was usually rough! If the offer them don't dismiss them! SO GLAD everyone is doing well!!!! Keep it up SassyGal and MissCee!

  8. Amen....I do have days just like this and reading that it gets better helps but in the moment you feel hopeless. I do not regret what I have done...yet....but I do get frustrated hearing about BBQ's and pizza nights as I am sucking on a Protein shake! I trust that it will get better and you are not alone in your thoughts! We did this to better our lives in the LONG run....the first couple months will be a challenge but we will be happier in the end...I have faith in that!

  9. Hi everyone! Thanks for your prayers. I'm still in the hospital. No major complications or pain. I'm just having a hard time getting down liquids w/o feeling super full.

So glad your doing well though!!! getting down liquids will get better I promise!! You'll be eating mashed potatoes in no time!!! IN my thoughts! speedy recovery! Keep us posted!

I am doing amazing! I am down 28lbs total 10day preop diet and 6 days post op! I feel great! Still get tired after doing too much so I can last for about 5 hours and I'm ready for a nap. But I know that will pass :) stay positive! You'll do great!

  12. Hello to my fellow August sleevers!!! I haven't checked in lately. I went to my surgeon's office for my final weigh-in today. I'm down 9LBS on my 2-week pre-op diet.

Good luck to those who are post-op and current/future pre-op dieters. :-)
