  1. Took me several weeks, even with the pillow. I was so glad when that stage ended.
  2. Awesome, keep up the good work!
  3. Awesome, keep up the good work!!!! I love my sleeve too!!!!
  4. Yesterday I met up with my old coworkers. They hadn't seen me in over a year & since the weight loss. OMG, the compliments were amazing. The best was the lady that made the Macaulay Culkin face from Home Alone. Felt so good.
  5. Don't worry yet. Keep in mind your were & are on liquids. So you don't have much in your system at this point. You'll be ok. Just get your liquids in. Sip sip sip all day. I had a bout with constipation for a 2 weeks once I started on solids. But got relief after taking a stool softener. All in all, it only lasted 2 weeks. I haven't had a problem since & I'm 10 mons post op. Good luck!
  6. My energy didn't return until week 5. Since then, I've been like the energizer bunny. Believe me, your energy will increase in due time. Hang in there and you'll be find & loving your sleeve.
  7. First 2 months post op, i got my cycles twice in the same month, was weird & heavy for next 2 months, then missed my cycle 2 months straight & then it return back to normal at 7 mons post op. GYN & VSG doc both said it was normal with the extreme weight loss & hormonal changes.
  8. I stay between 60-90 grams of Protein. Egg white & turkey sausage or turkey bacon, Greek yogurt Nuts or Protein Bar Salmon or tuna for lunch w small salad chicken or turkey for dinner with green vegetables I drink Water 60-64 oz of water Decaf tea 16 oz coffee (1/2 decaf & half reg) If I don't find myself eating enough protein, I may do a Protein shake to make my goal.
  9. Not posting pictures for privacy reasons.
  10. One of the best: "what you do with that other person?" One of the worst: "you are shrinking down to nothing, are you feeling ok?" One of the unwanted from my husband's male cousins: "look at sexy."
  11. After I got clearance from the lung specialist, they submitted it right away. I got approval in less than a week of submission. My clinic too gave me a manual that listed every step in the pre op & post op process. And they advised my to call if I still had questions or just needed to talk. You should be able to ask as many questions as you need. Good luck to you!!!!
  12. All of mine were called in & i got them filled prior to the surgery except the liquid pain meds. I had a script for nausea (pills & suppositories), reflux, & one to prevent gall stones.
  13. Doctor told me they want it to shrink so it would be easier to move out the way during the procedure. Makes sense.
  14. I've been giving my stuff away to my sisters & nieces. I'm still getting stuff together to get rid. While i don't plan on keeping any before stuff, me watching them wear my clothes is more than a reminder & motivation because I always thought I was much, much smaller than they were. What an eye opener this sleeve has been.
  15. Yes, it's normal. Especially because you are only intaking liquids.. It will change as your diet phases changes.
  16. Was constipated at 2 mons, but got relief after taking stool softener. No problems since. 10 mons post op & have pretty regular movements. At least twice a day.
