  1. Feb. 13 here! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time but this is my valentines day gift to myself! Good luck everyone!
  2. Tomorrow is my last appointment with my nutritionist!!! I have done my psych and endoscopy, blood work and pcp letter so hopefully I can schedule soon!!! I'm having the surgery at NYU hospital in NYC. Now that it's getting closer I'm getting nervous and excited!! Tomorrow I speak to the surgeon as well what questions should I be asking at this point? Help please!

  6. I'm getting nervous for the endoscopy and the psych visit tomorrow! I hope everything turns out well
  7. Sorry just saw the typo! I'm type 2 diabetic and my doctor is unsure what meds I should/ shouldn't take before the procedure. I take both short: long acting insulin plus 1000mg of metformin 2x a day
  8. Has anyone had the endoscopy done and is diabetic? My doctor is unsure of what ends I can take it not before the procedure.
  9. I Have oxford freedom and next month is my last month of the 6 month supervised doctor visits. I will have everything else completed by then (psych test, upper GI endoscopy and bloodwork). I am having my surgery at NYU hospital. How long till approval?

  11. I just scheduled my psych eval and received forms to fill out before I go. Very overwhelmed right now and afraid to answer the questions "wrong"
  12. Lucky you! It looks like January for me because of my insurance and the prereqs. I don't know how I'm going to take the time of in January. I know it's going to affect the classroom. I also don't want to wait or not be at work 100%, as you know it's not a desk job. We have to be up and about and I don't want to hurt myself.
  13. Yay for u!!!! I hope I hear that one day. I've been diabetic since I was 23. I'm 31 now so I don't know if it can be cured forever but I can hope. My endo switch me to insulin about a year ago plus pills because my hubby and I wanted to have a baby to no avail. I can't wait to have my surgery maybe I can get rid of this disease.
  14. I hope so! I'm looking forward to getting sleeved to be off my medication. Is there a chance if the diabetes coming back later in life?

  19. I want to: 1. Stop injecting insulin five times a day plus oral meds 2. Wear jeans!!! 3. Get up from the floor without holding on to furniture 4. Sit criss cross on the floor in my pre k classroom 5. Have a baby!!!
