  4. welcome to the team buddy!

i was sleeved in late feb, down 55lb. the first month or so it's hard to get enough Protein in, but i didnt have much muscle wasting. after a while i was slamming down enough Protein and got back to the weights. i've gained quite a bit of muscle, so the fat loss has been more than the scale may show.

focus on getting in a target amount of quality protein and be faithful to the gym. it will work and you'll be amazed at the changes.

i train jiu jitsu 5x/wk and have fallen in love with it all over again now that i can move so much more easily. here's hoping and praying the same for you!

Thanks man i really appreciate the positive words.. starting my liquid fast tommorow and starting to get alittle nervouse, but excited loved jiu jitsu good luck with that, lot of fun and exercise. I just for some reason got it in my mind i was going to have problems with lifting and getting my energy levels up without eating the masses amount of foods i do now, that probably part of my diseased mind right there hugh.. again thanks

  5. You sound just like me. I kept thinking i should just go on another diet. Losing it was always the easy part it was keeping it off that was the hard part. I had tried every diet and lost but always gained it back plus more. I was sleeved march 2, 2013 by Dr. Alvarez and i have lost 44 lbs so far. It has been awesome besides really bad reflux. I would recommend this surgery highly. Everyone was mortified when i told them i was going to mexico to have 80% of my stomach removed. Not anymore because they see the fat just melting off me :). My husband is going on 7-18 to have it done. good luck

wow you look awesome, to bad your married.. ;) you are a total insparation to me, and love the fact you went before me and will be there to take care of me when i get home. Thanks you my lil Putzi petite

  6. Here is the original post that started the bashing of Tijuana... This was NOT written by me!!

"I was thinking about going to Tijuana because when I googled Piedro Nagras the results were scary. Also, how long did you have to stay in the hospital and in the hotel and what were the facilities like? Thank you for any advice!"

It goes both ways, I am going to Piedro Nagras and personally I did google it and found nothing scary at all.I also googled several other areas and found recent things going on and warnings so its kinda one of those things... To each their own... Opinions are like bungholes everybody has one...

    PeAcE!

    :) we all cool

  7. Hi there, I just scheduled with Dr. Alvarez for July 19th. I started his pre-op diet a couple of days ago, figuring more is better? Is anyone concerned about not doing all the pre-op things people in the states do? I mean all those nutritional meetings and counseling etc.? I jus wonder if it's harder for people like us who don't go through all those steps first. I mean all I did was fill out a tiny questionnaire and - boom - approved the next day! Also I think I may be going by myself. I haven't heard back from my flacky sisiter who said she'd go with. I'm not afraid to go by myself, but is it ok to not have help?

Hi ill be there July 18th Dr Alvarez I'll stop by and say hi and keep you company, im going by myself as well my wife has to stay with the kids "and watch them" being a responsible parent can suck sometimes.... if you want to email me its jstoverchy@yahoo.com

  8. Hey cougar94 thanks for your input nice to know we have alot in common were gonna have to keep in touch, and richardvst thanks for your honesty, keep hanging in there im sure it will get better for you. Ive got 2 days before my 1 week liquid diet thinking about starting early , 2 days but why not ..getting really nervouse doing alot of praying waiting for any kind of sign from GOD that says DONT DO IT. But im ready im tiered of banging my head against the wall, ive hiot rock bottom and im ready to crawl back out of this food pit that ive created for myself.

  9. My wife has already done the surgury ad i cant wait to do it as well, it is going to be nice to sleep with her in the same bed again after 11 years of me ( "so she says') snoaring. So im pretty sure im emotionally set for whats coming up next, looking at it like its a new beginning, After awhile ill be able to sleep comfortably, my knees wont hurt as much from the stain of the excess weight, No more blood pressure pills, it should be good. Im very interested in the other men out there talking about their energy levels and how they keep it up with weight training.
