Starting my Pre-Op diet today, so the countdown begins. So nervous and excited for this journey.

Did anyone use either of these items after surgery? I want to have time to order them if they are necessary. Thanks!

Hi Everyone! I've been reading one of the posts about complications and then went to the "complication" forum and of course that gets your mind racing. I am having the bad to sleeve revision surgery in about 14 days (I know my band is not eroded, because I just had all the rests last month at a hospital here in the states) but the stories are scary. Does anyone have a "complication" story to share with the rest of us??? Clots, leaks, etc.???? Thanks!

I live in Florida too and I am having my surgery on July 25th with Dr. Illan in Mexico. So excited!

I'm with Dr. Illan on the 25th as well.

I will be flying in the 24th as well. Glad to know in wont be alone.

So excited that it's finally scheduled! Just wondering if anyone else is having surgery on or around that date at Florence Hospital.

I will be arriving at Florence (Dr. Illan) on the 24th for surgery on the 25th.

Does anyone have any experiences they can share about this doctor? I just found out they are running a special for the sleeve. I have to make my decision by tomorrow morning. Right now I'm leaning towards Dr. Illan. Thanks!

North_Chicky did you mean you are going in July or August, as your ticker says August, but your post says July? I'm looking at the 24th or 25th. Trying to figure out the best airfare now.

Still undecided, but I must do so by Monday. Can't really find anything bad about either one. The only two differences in the process that I've found, are 2 nights hotel with Dr. Illan vs. 3 nights hotel with Dr. Garcia (both have 2 night hospital stay), Hotel Lucerna for Dr. Illan (where they charge for the bariatric menu) and Marriott Tijuana for Dr. Garcia (meals are all included.) I do wish there was a few more people that could offer Dr. Illan testimonies, as I've only seen 2 or 3 people talk about him.

Is there anyone else having surgery during this time frame? Trying to schedule a date and would like to be with others since I'm travelling by myself.

It's possible that I may need to travel to Tijuana alone for my sleeve surgery. Should safety be a concern and do I need someone there after surgery to help me? Thanks!

Looking closer at Dr. Illan for my sleeve surgery. He uses the Florence hospital and the hotel Lucerna. Can anyone share their experiences? Care, cleanliness, comfort, etc.
