  1. I can so identify with you. I posted the same question after my sleeve. (I was sleeved two weeks ago today). I kept reading and hearing people in my support group say how they couldn't even finish the 1/4 cup of liquid broth. I was starving on my ten day post op liquid diet. I am now on a full liquid for one week (cottage cheese, yogurt) and I'm feeling much better. I still can devour my 1/4 cup rations in two minutes without any pain or issues and haven't felt that full feeling yet, but I dealing well with it. The folks on this site have been great, and I've been reassured I'll feel the fullness when I start eating normal food. I had read somewhere, and I can't recall, that maybe my stomach is still just numb from the surgery and that's why I don't get that ful feeling and feel hungry? Sounds like a good reason to me, so I'm sticking by it! I love your line about demanding a refund :) You are funny!!!!! Keep up the humor and we will get through this.

  2. I am so with you on this. I had my post office visit today with my doctor. it has only been nine days since my surgery (July 16) but I have been absolutely starving. I appreciate all the posts when I asked about hunger a few days ago, and I appreciate the fact that it is because I'm on liquids. But I never suspected I would be this starved! Today when I told my doctor and staff about starving they were surprised. He said he never had anyone complain about that. My nutritionist was floored that I could gulp down by 4 oz of clear broth without any difficulty. Folks on this wonderful forum have assured me that once I'm eating regular food that my stomach will fill up. I got the cottage cheese and yogurt pass today and I hope that helps fill my sleeve. Good luck :)

  3. I am four days post op, and I count the minutes until I get my next 4 oz of Protein Shake or 1/4 cup of broth or sugar free Jello. My nutritionist said I should take 20 minutes to finish these "meals". I am able to inhale the 4 oz without any pain or problem in about 2 seconds. I am totally starving and have zero energy. I ready other posts about people not being able to finish their 1/4 cups of broth etc after surgery. I am wondering if my doctor really did anything to my stomach?

  4. I'm scheduled for July 16. I have my pre-surgery appointment on July 11 with my surgeon. I'm a little worried that he may postphone the surgery because I haven't lost any weight the preceding three months. I started at 248 and they said I had to lose 12.5 pds, which I did not do. My surgeron only requires a four day clear liquid diet prior to surgery, so i should drop a couple of pds. then. Please all July sleevers keep your fingers crossed that my surgeon goes through with my July 16 date......
