  1. Checked into the hospital in Dallas so I can have my stress test tomorrow and my pre op seminar done. Got a call from the heart cent that they are not able to find my orders lol....will call at 8 in the am.....this is a fixable thing. I am scheduled for the 27th but something tells me ill be able to have it done either Thursday or Friday. Hope so!

  2. I am scheduled for August 1, pending passing my stress test. I was 269 at surgeons office. He told me to lose 10 lbs get a stress test and he would schedule me. This morning the total weight loss is 9 lbs so I'm getting there. My stomach already has butterflies. My husband and two friends I've told are very, very supportive. Thinking the stress test is scaring me more than anything.

  3. I went to Dr. Merriman for a preop consultation. I liked the doctor ok but he did not have much bedside manner. He was very knowledgeable though. However I did not feel his Staff was very cordial. And I wanted to look around just to be for sure. I ended up going with Dr. James Davidson in Dallas but i wont have surgery until december. So far the experience has been so much better when I call I don't feel like a burden I don't feel Like I'm rushed. They really want to help. I don't have anything bad to say about that Merriman but I did feel very rushed and I did feel he was annoyed with my numerous questions. I live in the middle so it's the same distance either way. Also as I researched I could not find much info about Dr. Merriman there was nothing negative but there just wasn't much and in the sleeves he has only done in the hundreds as opposed to the other doctors who have done in the thousands those were my reasons for choosing Dr. James Davidson I wish you the best of luck in whatever choice you make

I will be using Dr. Davidson, we live almost 200 miles away but he's done over 1000 sleeves and I liked his staff as well.

  4. we dont eat any artifical sweeteners or flavorings or dyes in our home. i am concerned that so much stuff on my first post op diet plan are "sugar free" processed products. i have bought hemp Protein powder... its pretty minimally processed. i plan on making and storing homemade bone broth (chicken and beef). we get milk right from the farmer' date=' and i have found a brand of plain greek yogurt i like. i also plan on juicing cucumber, romaine, apples, pears, etc. anything low sugar.

i think i will be fine but keep worrying.[/quote']

My doc told me juicing was too many calories. Your doc may view it differently. We juice so we hoped it was ok.
