Hi I’m also in Auckland and haven’t found a support Group as such, but there are people around from NZ on here who are helpful with questions.
Happy to email if you have any questions, but I’m 4 years post op and can tell you life does get back to normal and it was worth it for me.

Oh cool. i had my surgery just recently mid June. How are you feeling now 6 months on?

I was also sleeved by Stephanie Ulmer (isn't she amazing!) in May 2012. I have lost just shy of 60 kilos and am now less than3 kilos from goal. Life is good :-)

please excuse my jumping in--I don't mean to hijack the thread at all--but couldn't resist making a personal observation...I am 51 and have been in menopause (haven't had a period in almost 3 years)...sometimes, oddly enough, it makes me a little sad, because it's a sign of my fading youth, the end of a phase in my life, yada, yada...but when I happen upon threads like this, it reminds me of the positive aspects of menopause carry on

"This too will pass" and you will feel so much better in a few days. The first week post op is the hardest, hang in there and hope you feel better once you get home.

Hi ladies
I also had surgery mid June in Auckland with Stephanie. I'm still on the purée food phase and felling really good 2 1/2 weeks post op. Nice to hear from some fellow kiwis who have gone through the same thing. I'm also central Auckland so if you ever do catch up for a coffee would be interested too.

Hi there
I am just about at 13 months post surgery and have past the 50 kilo loss point. It is pretty damn awesome.
I am another Aucklander and had my sleeve done privately in Epsom with Stephanie Ulmer. She was amazing.
Always happy to share anything about my journey to date :-)
