  1. When you say your such and such days post op .. Do you count the day of your surgery ? I'm just curious for some reason lol ! Like I had surgery on the 8th so am I 4days post op or 3days ? Hmmmm
  2. I'm actually doing pretty good , I have a few gas pains every now and then and when I get up from laying down I usually get nauseous . But besides that , I'm very grateful as to how I'm recovering considering some of the stories I've read . I've only lost about 4 lbs so far , I see my doctor on the 18th for follow up . I hope all that's wrong goes well for you !
  3. I can't wait to see how different sex after losing weight is .. I'm not trying to rush it I'm just anxious . It felt nearly impossible for me on top and now I'm excited to see the changes .
  4. I go to cosmetology school .. I'm hoping I can return Monday ! Just to get hours not to do any major stuff at all . Good luck to you too !
  5. Awe yay good for you ! And congrats on losing that much . I'm not far out enough to have sex .. 3 days post op . I do believe I feel great for only 3 days out . Can't wait for the discomfort to go away and see some changes

    Any Nj Sleevers

I'm not in my 20s but I'm browsing . Ill be 19 on Monday and I just had my surgery on the 8th in Hackensack . The first time I woke up after surgery I remember saying I was in pain but then I passed out for hours after that . When I woke up all I had was gas pains in my stomach . The next day (yesterday) I was able to get up on my own and walk around with no IV . I was able to drink 4oz of water/juice/broth in an hour . When I left the hospital at about 1030 last night , with the hour drive home I became extremely nauseous and had some acid reflux at about 3 am . I'm finding it harder to get down 4 oz now that I'm home but other than that I feel fine . And I'm only getting down water because juices and broths are now making me sick . I also had a little under an ounce of a Popsicle .
  7. I feel like I have chain reaction stuff .. Water makes me nauseous so I try a Popsicle , then that gives me a bad pain in my side , along with still a bit of nausea , called the doctor to see if I should take the percocets he prescribed , he said if I'm nauseous it may make it worse and to take Tylenol with codine . Broke it In 4ths and hoping its gonna kick in soon . Hope all of this passes !
  8. Oh and I feel like I'm peeing way more than I'm actually drinking .
  9. Had mine July 8th , went home yesterday at about 11pm .. The drive made me very very nauseous . In the hospital I was able to get down 4oz in an hour ( I had broth and juice ) now I can only get down water and its not the full 4oz anymore ...I'm a little nauseous here and there but it's not too bad and I'm only having pain laying ONTO the bed . Mom bought me Popsicles so I'm hoping that will make me feel better .
  10. Went to sleep then at about 3am I had to pee so I went , and I wound up having some acid reflux where my mouth and saliva got hot and I was gagging . Woke up just now to pee afraid that was gonna happen , all I was prescribed was Percocet but I heard that can make you even more nauseous ... Should I take it ?
  11. Wasnt nauseous at all but now on the 45 min ride home I am praying I don't Pyle .. I feel like it would hurt so bad
  12. Had my surgery about 130 pm , it was over around 340 , I was knocked out until 7 pm , it's now 920 and I'm feeling over all good , just having some gas pains they haven't asked me to try to walk . Hoping the pain/uncomfortable feeling goes away soon enough ! My mouth is also very uncomfortably dry and I wish I could sip water but ya know !

On my way to the hospital

I'm leaving in about a half an hour and I am also very nervous . So I guess it's normal !
  14. I'm on the 8th in NJ !
  15. My surgery is July 8th and my surgeon has said nothing to me about what to eat after , my mom had the bypass done a few years back so she pretty much knows the deal but most of you have shakes and supplements and I have none of that and it's making me more and more nervous ahhhh
  16. I've been reading threads and what not and I noticed a lot of people are on some sort of diet before their surgery . Is it something you were told to do or did you just decide to do it on your own? (Like the liquid diets) because I wasn't informed of any diets I should be doing . My surgery is on the 8th of July . It all happened to fast .. My first seminar was end of April/beginning of may and now it's a week away . I feel like I'm so much less prepared than everyone else .
  17. All that they have told me was not to eat after midnight the night before , which kinda stinks because my surgery isn't until 2:30 in the afternoon . That's all I was informed but I will contact my surgeons office tomorrow to be sure . I was also only required to have a 5 year weight history from my doctor (along with chest X-rays , EKG, and bloodwork)
  18. I just signed up so hi everyone I just started getting really nervous about everything . I don't eat too large of portions now and I get full but they're not that small either I guess but I'm just nervous it won't work or something . I'm getting nervous about extra skin . I'm getting nervous that I won't lose a lot or what if I lose too much and I'm just really really skinny . I'm 18 , turning 19 on July 15th I'm about 5'1 and 260lbs and my goal weight is 140 . Also for those who have had it what was your recovery like ? I go to school for cosmetology and I was wondering how long you think before I can go back ? I want to try to miss as little as possible . Thanks for the support !
