  1. Sometimes if you're taking antibiotics, you'll get a yeast infection in places that are dark and damp. Does it itch? If so, this could be what it is. Sometimes it happens because of hormonal changes, too. Keep it very clean (wash with a mild soap with no fragrance) and then dry it thoroughly. Try not to cover it with anything restrictive - let it breathe. If it doesn't improve in a few days, you should probably talk to a doctor.

I'm a food rebel... you? (rant)

My understanding is that the sleeve does a lot of the work for you the first year. After that, you have to put in the effort to stay away from things that will make you gain weight. Everything in moderation, but important to recognize when you're forming bad habits. You know yourself better than anyone, though. If it were me, I'd eat a little and then convince myself that it might be okay to eat a little more. And then I'd make that my new normal and things would be all downhill from there. Yikes!

    Distended upper stomach

That doesn't sound normal...you should call you doctor's office asap and ask about it! Or maybe there's a quick care clinic open late?
  4. Wow!! You are amazing! Congratulations on your hard work and doing what needed to be done to get your life back! Truly inspirational.

    Ladies HELP!

That dress is great and gives you great curves. If you wear a necklace it'll pull attention up toward the cleavage area and draw it away from any other areas you'd like to go unnoticed.

Another reason not to drink coca-cola....

I signed and will share on FB. Not a coke fsn anyway, but they have a chance to do some real good in the world. I hope they take it!

    November buddies where are you?

Here's where I found out about the November Sleevers FB page. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/97437-november-sleevers-fb-page/#entry1032732

Awesome! We should stay in touch! It'll be good to have someone to compare notes with!
  10. I'm worried about this too. I think I'll buy things a little tight and only buy things that will look good when I wear them loose. And maybe buy some sashed and belts I can use to tie around my waist and make a loose shirt look kind of like a tunic or something. Time to get creative! Basically, I'm just excited that this is even a problem I'm going to have. lol

    November buddies where are you?

Hello all, I responded at the beginning of the thread, but didn't include my stats! I'm scheduled for Nov 25 in Tijuana with Dr. Illan. I'm 5'8" and 350 pounds. I don't have a goal weight, but would love to be under 200. I start my 2 week liquid diet in three weeks! I look forward to checking in with you all! I think someone started a November Sleevers Facebook page, so that might be a great way to keep up with each other!

Is this a private group? I'm not planning to tell anyone about my surgery, so I would be interested in joining if it's a private group that my FB friends couldn't see!

    Feeling defeated

I've heard SO many people say they hit a stall around this time. Don't worry! You're not alone! Seriously, if you follow the rules and can only eat a few ounces at a time, how could you NOT lose weight? This is just your body adjusting to the changes. Be gentle with yourself and stay positive! Yay!
  15. Cute luggage! I'm sorry that happened, but it'll only be a few weeks and you can reschedule! And now, you've had some practice at the liquid diet!

    Five days since surgery

Congrats on the successful surgery! Let the losing begin!

Tired of women leaving me for the "cute skinny guy"

Oooh I love a big man. My husband is a big & tall guy. He's thinking about getting sleeved and I'm a little concerned! When I told him I was getting sleeved, he was a little too excited...ha! Op, you're cute! Find a woman who appreciates you for who you are!

I have a two week liquid diet, which is going to be torture.

    catheter?

I had the exact opposite of some of you - when I had my catheter removed (this was for an appendectomy) I couldn't control my pee! I had about a three second warning and ended up peeing all over my hospital bed several times. The nurses loved that. It was this way for about two days.

    catheter?

For me, it burned a little bit. Like getting your eyebrows waxed. But, I ended up with a UTI after they removed the catheter and I've heard of it happening to other people as well, so be on the lookout for that.
  23. Oh, he's beautiful! Congratulations!!

What do you watch on Netflix?

Also, Sons of Anarchy is really good. Give it a couple episodes to hook you, but it WILL! Doctor Who - the new series House of Cards is pretty good, but it doesn't have a lot of action, so you have to be in the right mood for it. The first few seasons of Grey's Anatomy are really good, too. If you decide to start watching it, clear your calendar. lol
