does you BMI in 2010 qualify you? is there any other record of your weight? Gym...
-
Have you heard back from them yet?
-
Absolutely. It is one of the requirements that you have 2 year history. I turned in 3 years. One think I did was call and ask a lot of questions prior to getting too involved. I asked to talked to someone that works with Bariatric patients and got an awesome person. I got her name/phone number and she called her every month.

When did you notice that you can eat more in one sitting?

Can you call and talk to my wife? I'm married almost 18 and would love a little space -
I'm getting sleeved Friday 10/18/2013 I'm hoping for a little action by 10/18/2013
-
I have talked myself into pursuing this and tomorrow is my 1st Dr. Apt. I have called my Insurance (Aetna Choice II) and they do cover it. I reviewed their requirements (2 years of a BMI > 40) and a 90 day medical oversight and called my primary Doctor to get my weight for the last 3 years and I qualify. I don’t have any serious Medical issues that I know of, except the obvious over weight. I hope it goes well tomorrow. Do you think my insurance will approve it? I have read of a lot of people being denied.

Now we just need bosox to get approved and it will be a perfect month.

I got my date: 10/18/2013

That is good to hear. I read the post a month ago and it really got me thinking, "what will I be doing to myself"? Now I am approved by my insurance and I need to make a decision. Pjknits & cssleve how are you guys now. You were miserable too. One of the things about a lot of hreads is that they share a problem, but they are rarely updated to say that everything is better. Then when someone is thinking about getting sleeved and reads old threads they get a freaked out. I have even wondered if people have died... Then I see a later post and they are fine. -

There are stories on here that freak me out. I am not 100% confident in my decision, but the best I can tell is that for most people the first few days are the worst. You can't drink because your stomach is to swollen... The scary part is, some people complain for a couple weeks and others for longer http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/93461-when-will-i-love-my-sleeve/ Most of the time people feel great after 6 weeks and I have not heard anything different than this after a year or two. I like that the guy in this video says he drinks beer. I want to do this, but I also want to live a normal life. This guy seems pretty normal. -

Kim2002 How are things going after a few more weeks? I'm pre-op and your post caused me to be concerned with moving forward. -
I was approved today too
-
When I started the process I called and spoke to the nurse over Bariatrics. I asked what I need to do to qualify. We talked for a few min and I asked for a phone number in case is had any questions... After my second apt I called and told her I had my second apt and validated my status. After my third apt I called her and validated my status and asked who would be reviewing my case... I asked her if I could call and tell her it was being submitted. Tuesday I called her and left a message that it was coming. She called me on Wednesday said she would be looking for it and try to pull it. Today I am approved. Now I am waiting for my surgeons scheduler to call. If they don't call by 3:30 I'm calling them.

Yes very pleased. Now if I can get my dr to give me a quick date.
