  1. I am so sorry about your situation, but this is just a bump in the road. I had my sleeve on June 19th and I have had 2 c-sections, the first not scheduled, the second scheduled. So, regarding the pain, it is similar to a c-section. Except the pain is not under your belly but on your side. To give you some prespective, one of my friends was also going for the sleeve but learned last week that she had stage 2 breast cancer. She is now fighting that first and then will re-visit the sleeve in about a year. I hope this helps you move forward with your brave journey for a healthy life. Don't let a bump in the road de-rail you. Good luck with everything.

  2. Funny, I hadn't had a period in over a year and a half and just started last week, after surgery. Thought I was bleeding from the surgery, until one of the nurses said could you be getting your period? And of course, that what reared it's head, and I too am on a low dose BCP to help with bleeding, which was working beautifully before surgery. But anytime your body goes through some trauma, and surgery is trauma, then this can happen. I am with you on this one sister... Fun!!!

  3. I felt just like you last week. At peace and so excited. Good Luck with everything. Do what they tell you and the best advice that I received is to stay ahead of the pain. So, take the pain meds, and don't push yourself to get moving too fast. Good Luck, will say a prayer for you!

  4. I am 1 week out of surgery, and if you can stay ahead of the pain, with the pain meds, that might help. It is painful, no doubt, but I promise you that next week at this time you will feel significantly better, and most likely will be off pain meds. Just take a day at a time, get as much rest as you can,as that helps heal.
