Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC
Vetniemeer replied to Kindle's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Thanks Angela.m yes, my papers said 2 weeks too, and tomorrow will be three weeks. That's not what concerns me, it that when I asked I've been passed around from staff member to staff member and nobody will give me a straight answer or even respond to my latest request. -
Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC

Has anyone tried to get copies of their medical records from the OCC post surgery? I am having no luck in getting an actual answer, and I am having some pain issues that won't go away. My local Dr insists on seeing the records but won't contact the OCC directly, saying I must, but I'm getting the run-around. Would love to hear from others who have received their copy or tried. Thanks! -
Sleeved Aug 7. Thought the sleeve was the answer to hunger because the hormone is removed. I have never been so hungry - literally - I am so disappointed because while I can't eat lots anymore (thankfully), I'm actually more hungry than before. Is this just me or is anyone else experiencing the same?

I was sleeved Aug 7 - you should go to the game! Enjoy.

Was sleeved in TJ on Aug 7th. Had a very bad reaction to the anti-nausea meds and anesthetic, but it came right after a couple of days. Myonly concern is that the paperwork, docs and NUT said I would not feel hungry the first week and I can honestly say I'm really hungry, and have been since day 3. Has anyone else had this hungry sensation?

Thanks for the replies....it helps to know I'm not alone! :-) I just managed to drink about a quarter cup of creamy soup but I still cant get as many fluids down as I should. Will def persevere, thanks! Keep up the great work! -
I fly tomorrow - will be thinking you and wishing you all the best!

Me too...more nightmares than dreams :-(

Yes, I think you're correct... but I think the other group is under the Mexican forum and on this one, its a mixture....not sure :-)

I'm allowed protein and salad (not everything, but a good enough list) once a day, as well as I can substitute a shake for a yoghurt. So I'm probably getting more calories than you but I haven't counted or worked it out, I'm simply following the NUTS plan.

Trying to decide between those three doctors and their respective facilities and care....any suggestions? -

Hang in there sugarpop...I don't know which plan you're on, but I know from my own, it is tough. I've done a week of it now and the sugar-free Popsicles do help. Don't give up...keep reminding yourself it isn't forever and all for a great cause....YOU!

Keep up the great attitude and work, Kieshart! Have you tried Gas-x...some have reported success with it, others not. Stay strong ???? -
Any suggestions on what to pack and take with us for the surgery and stay in Tijuana?
