Had my surgery 6 mos ago 7/15/13, highest weight 351, surgery weight 328, current weight 253, 98lbs GONE!!!!

im 5'7 my highest weight was 351 and my weight at surgery was 328. 3 months later im 285. Slow but steady and i will admit I havent been following all the rules, not drinking enough water or getting in all my protein but still think im doing pretty well.

I had my surgery July 15th and had heartburn from the first day and everyday since. I take Omeprazole to control it so it doesnt bother me but if i miss a dose....oh boy!

My tastes have definitely changed! Some things I used to LOVE I cant stand the thought, look, or smell of! Ive gotten so used to low/no calorie sweeteners I cant stand how sweet regular sugar is. No desire for sweets, cakes, candy ect. I didnt really like seafood before, now thats all i really eat, shrimp, tilapia, salmon. Its so weird....

I didnt get tested but the anesthesiologist did ask me (a few mins before surgery) if i did any recreational drugs in the past month. I lied and said no, I didnt want to risk them calling off the surgery. I was sure I was gonna die right there on the operating room table!!!! But, I survived! I would NOT reccommend it though! I was so freaked out!!! Im stupid, I know

HW: 351 SW: 328 CW: 296 Currently in my 2nd stall but I think I know what I need to do to get out of it...... More Water, more Protein and more calories. Thats what got me out of my last stall. I can do the water without a problem but I HATE Protein shakes and I'm NEVER hungry. On another note, I have my fisrt appointment with my PCP post-op and I cant tell you how excited I am to hop on that scale!

I did feel a little funny after some of the big rides, kind of queasy...... and I've always been a major thrill seeker at amusement parks!!! But I didn't let it stop me Lol

I went to an amusement park yesterday and I could fit on all the rides! Restraints fastened without any problems!!! So happy! Had my sleeve done 7/15 down 45lbs including pre-surgery diet

I had 5 incisions, none in my belly button and no drain sites (thank goodness)

My Dr. Didn't give a time but I tried about 3 weeks out and when I stood up I had the worse crippling gas pain in my belly lol I didn't wanna tell my boyfriend because he was against trying but I "seduced" him anyway hehe

How long did everyone wait to have sex post op?

Has anyone experienced changes in tolerating foods after surgery. I know you can't tolerate certain foods post op but I mean being able to eat something and then suddenly you can't anymore. I was sleeved on July 15 and have been able to eat watermelon since about a week post op but today I had some watermelon and felt so sick I could only lie the floor in pain and then I threw up. What happened? I haven't had any problems before....

Oh I have TONS of sugar free popsicles from my liquid diet pre-op! That's probably why I don't want them now!! Lol
