  2. Hello! I am new to this specific forum and joined because I have never heard of Sleeve Plication and have been looking at WLS for over 3 years now. I have been leaning towards the Gastric Sleeve, but I have a specific question regarding the Sleeve and Sleeve Plication. Aside from the obvious medical difference between the Sleeve and Gastric Bypass, I loved the idea of the Sleeve becuase it would remove the part of my stomach that triggered hunger. I tend to eat too much because I always feel hungry. Does the Plication Surgery help you to not feel hungry? I wonder because if that part is not removed, I fear I may over eat again and wind up back at square one. Can anybody tell me if you feel more hunger with one surgery over the other? I hope I don't sound too confused! And I appreciate any comments of anyone willing to reply. Thank you!
  3. I am also from St Mary's / Southern Calvert County (work in one, live in the other) and went to JH Bayview last year. I loved the Doctor, but did not care for his staff. Not sure where to go now.

  5. This is terrible!! Scares me away from wanting to try when I hear things like that! I need to make sure to always have my cell phone on me anytime I am in a hospital!!
  6. I live in Southern Maryland (Calvert County) and I am having the same problem. I would like to have a group to spend time with pre-op and post-op. My hospital is Johns Hopkins, and it is 2 hours away from where I live. They have support groups there, but they start at, like, 5:00. I work until 5:30 as it is, and can't keep taking time off for meetings, ya know? Let me know if you find anything here in Southern Maryland! Good Luck on your journey. Mine is just starting!
