My opinion is...why wait till you are heavier...do it now before you get bigger. If you qualify then you are one of the lucky ones. Also having a lower bmi makes you a great candidate for optimal success. Good luck in your journey! I wish I had started it before I got to where I finally said enough was enough.
Ok here goes my first post, 29 years old and I live in NJ. BMI is 36 and I am 255 pounds. Every person I talk says "your not that bad" or you dont need that so on and say on. Even my doctor says I am one of the lighter patients that would have the surgery. I qualify because I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I have already begun the process had my both nutrition appointments, pysch and upper Gi. I am planning on having my surgery the second week in January so it gives me some time to think about it. While going through the process at first i was very excited. However, my mind is starting to play games and I am now a little scared. Just looking for a little reassurance.
