    Show me your plate

So far I don't have that issue but its nice that one order of something or one coldest makes enough for multiple days and meals! I think my freezer is going to become my new favorite appliance!

I honestly love this thread. Just shy of 3 weeks post op myself and this thread is just as fun as the "before/after" pics! Please keep posting people!!

I look forward to maybe enjoying food (even in tiny amounts) again one day... Right now I see it as a chore that I hate doing!

Thanks b2b, I've stopped taking pain meds all together and I'm just going to tough it out. My mouth is tender but the worst part is my stomach, it must be mad at me because I was doing a lot better with drinking. Now entering puréed stage I can't stomach much of anything, my sleeve fights me on the smallest amounts of anything, gurgling angrily. I'm getting progressively weaker and tomorrow is supposed to be my first day back at work. Mercy me why did I do this to myself!!
  8. This was also happening to me (its slowly getting better. When I did my barium swallow they told me it was due to inflammation in the top portion of my sleeve and gave me a shot for it.

    Protein Powder Blues

I start purées Friday. I have had yogurt by its difficult too. I get chicken and fish in the purée stage so that'll help with protein but ugh! My body hates nourishment apparently!

Liquid extra strength Advil. It's keeping the pain at bay, but I feel so weak and useless! And he pulled more teeth than I signed up for. The roots were so long in the healthy top wisdom teeth that it opened up a gap between my mouth and sinuses. That's probably the worse part. Plus I was having trouble keeping hydrated enough in the first place with me surgery, now its even harder *facepalm*

5 Days Out & I Can Gulp Water!

I got to watch my barium swallow and the doctor told me that with liquids, especially heavier ones, my sleeve only takes about 10 seconds to completely empty. So try not too worry to much, if there's no discomfort than hydrate til the cows come home.

    Low Blood Sugar After Workouts

Even before my sleeve if I went to workout with having a light snack before I would get light headed and headache. If your post op diet allows, a little bit of cheese and some fruit pre workouts goes a long way. Just don't over do it, working out with a full belly can lead to cramping. Have you tried just a protein shake beforehand?

I'm an idiot. Got my wisdom teeth out fourteen days post op. I'm apparently a glutton for punishment!! *hates life*
  15. Woo happy it's not just me. I'm only eating one egg a day.
  16. This thread makes me nervous my sleeve is defective.. I'm 13 days post op, and have started eating soft food to slowly transition because next week I'm allowed to have chicken (chewed a million times). So I decided to try a scrambled egg, nothing added and i eat it with chopsticks to make sure i only take small bites, to get my sleeve use to something a little fuller. I have also tried watermelon (again, chewed to mush) and so far... I have yet to feel that full feeling! I stop myself before I get there cause I feel like too much is going in and I don't want to hurt myself or stretch my sleeve but I know I'm able to eat more than most the people here who can only eat a few bites at a time!!

Yeah, at least I didn't anyway, had a small salad and broth for supper Monday (around 5pm) then just fasted for the rest of the day/night/morning then had surgery on Tuesday. That's what most people getting surgery the same were doing

Oh! Sorry, I dunno but for me I was able to eat greens until the night before surgery, allowing for an 8 hour fast beforehand.

Three day clear liquids after surgery then full liquids for 2 weeks (including protein shakes). Green veggies aren't on the foods list for a good long while. Pretty much not for 40 days.

    Liquids Post Op 5 Days

I'm a stomach sleeper too, I have slowly been able to progress to sleeping on my side without too much difficulty.

    Liquids Post Op 5 Days

I had my surgery the 12th. I didn't have fever but every Fluid except for broth made me nauseous, even threw up a few times >.< Try heavier fluids than water, like your broth or orange juice, even blended with ice or SF popsicles!! (if you're in full liquids stage), I found they let my sleeve empty quicker and prevented the nausea! And honestly day by day it'll get better! Even when I was puking I didn't regret the surgery. It has its bumps sure but it's worth it in the end. I'm eleven days post op and the nausea is gone, and almost all the gas. Try SF Popsicles!! They were my saving grace in the bad times!
  23. Strained soup. SF jello, SF Popsicles. That's about it until you enter purée stage.
