  1. I'm having split pea soup too but don't get progresso it has the skins of the peas in it. Campbells or andersons is better no skins.

  4. Bought premade premier chocolate shakes 30 gms each in 11 ounces. Went down much easier than anything else.
  5. Try biotene mouthwash at cvs.
  6. Are you taking reglan or antiacids: makes my mouth dry.
  7. If the doctor thinks an area might bleed they sometimes place a drain. Honestly, I woke up with the drain and it never hurt or bothered me until he took it out.
  8. The whole theory behind the alkaline principle is protein are amino acids which make your system acidic. So of course you need them but to reach equilibrium you balance it with alkaline foods to neutralize your ph. If you have too much acids it gets stored in your fat and tissues because your body cannot circulate that much acid safely. If you neutralize each meal balancing the ph, the alkaline molecules bond with the acids molecules and you either sweat, pee, or poop them out. Hense superb weight loss. I had just started doing this a month ago during my infertility research. Google dr vassey or alkaline diet. I find it fascinating. So while I am trying to get protein in I am balancing it the best I can with alkaline foods and water. Potato soup is alkalizing. Anyone want more info private message me.
  9. I had a drain too and to be honest it caused a cramping sensation when he took it out. Then it was fine.

  11. Read the alkaline diet by dr vassey. Its an alternative to such high levels of protein. Offers some great advice. My friends husband lost 300 pounds soley doing this way of life. He is now a dr of natural medicine. Worth a look.

  13. Tried a taste of coffee this am and almost vomitted. Guess its not for me right now. 10 days post op.
  14. Yes it does because I have gone through so much with the lapband and to have two procedures at one time was tough. I'm hoping the sleeve will carry me the rest of the way.
  15. I had a morphine pca pump where I could push the button. Pain not as bad as post lapband. Nausea was the worst though. Sleeved june 28th.

  19. That's great success! I don't really feel hungry like I used to. Except when my neighbor busted out the barbeque yesterday.
  20. Haven't been under 200 pounds in over a decade and even then I was 190 pounds. Lapband got 40 pounds off and now post op 10days sleeve I got another 14 pounds off. I am 9 pounds away from being under 200 pounds! My birthday is july 31st so its my goal to reach under 200 pounds by then. I am so excited!
  21. I figure I went through all this pain why not see how far my sleeve will take me?
