I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well!

I was on the 8th, too. I was SO tired all day. I pretty much slept all afternoon. I walked a lot in the morning and wore myself out. Hopefully going home Wed afternoon.

I may get to go home tomorrow. My morphine pump was giving me a headache so they were going to try an oral pain killer. Doc said it would be a liquid but when it arrived it was a pill and I was afraid to swallow it!

I've had apple juice and ice chips and walking and sleeping. How's everyone else doing?

I did it! Got sleeved this morning. I feel pretty good. I really want ice chips. My mouth is so dry! I just noticed my lymph nodes are swollen, but I'm not freaking.

Over all, I'm pretty happy!

I think it's Sunday morning! That means our big day is tomorrow! How am I going to not freak out today?

I started on Monday as well. Yesterday I was really having one of those "I'll never eat or have a glass of wine again" moments. We are all so different on these forums but yet so much alike. Today I'm having "what am I DOING??" feelings. I've been on the pre-op diet since Monday and OMG. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get to eat again. Tell me, after you recover from surgery do you feel normal and happy when you have a meal? I mean, it can't feel like "and then I was never able to eat again". Right? Oh, man, this diet...

I'm on day 5 of a 2-week pre-op diet and I'd eat the heck out of a soft taco right now.

I am pre-op, getting sleeved 7/8, and on day 4 of a pre-op liquid diet. This is the part I was most scared about. How can a person just not eat?! But, you know, it isn't all that bad. I'm a little tired and I have to have broth and tea all the time so I don't feel hungry.

But I think it's worth it and I think it's possible. Also I think if you've been obese then you've been through a lot and you can get through this, too.

Day two of my pre-op liquid diet and I can't stop cooking. I bought the food thinking I'd better freeze some meals for the fam since I won't feel like cooking post-op. Instead I think I'm obsessing about food a little. I'm not eating it, but the meatloaf does smell pretty awesome.

Anyone else starting a pre-op liquid diet this week? I start today and I'm so afraid I won't have energy. And that I'll spend 2 weeks thinking about food non-stop!

July 8th. I hope the pre op diet doesn't kill my energy too much. I have a lot I want to do before surgery lays me up!

Rowitz is my doctor, my surgery is 7/8. I like him, I think.
