  1. I haven't done this before so I thought I would post a before shot and a shot from 7 months out. 65 lbs and feeling great! I'm a slow loser and for 2 months did not lose a pound. I was one who thought I could eat anything I wanted and still lose. That is NOT the case. You can prevent yourself from losing. I went to Hawaii and drank wine like it was going out of style and ate everything sweet that came my way during Christmas and low and behold....didn't lose a pound for 2 months. The minute I started eating my Protein and drinking my Water, I started losing again. This takes work and dedication to a lifestyle change just as much as anything else. It is NOT the easy way out! Although I still can only eat VERY small portions, if I choose the wrong foods those small amounts of calories add up quickly. Honestly though, I figured at 7 months out I would be able to eat a lot more than I can but thank goodness my tummy seems as small as ever :)

    Have a great day everyone!

  2. I'm surprised .... but happy

I took some '2 month post op' pics today but guess what I WONT be posting? Those! Youzers! I do look a whole lot better than where I started but goodness those are just ugly. But less ugly than they were 2 months ago so again, I am happy!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  3. I went to the pharmacy to buy some ketostix -- these little strips you pass through your urine that tell if you are in ketosis or not, and the pharmacist was like "You don't need those. If your urine smells different, then you are in ketosis" I went ahead and bought the ketostix anyway

What did the sticks tell you?

  4. Thank you for the replies! I am 7 weeks tomorrow and am down 31 lbs. My Water intake is pretty good so I don't think I am dehydrated. But, that fat that I am losing has to be going somewhere, so maybe that's it? It's a catch 22 because if that is the reason, then I don't want it to stop until there is no fat left on this body of mine. On the other hand...."Ew!"

  5. TMI, I know, but I have to ask! I am usually pretty darn fresh in my va-JJ area but latey, Eeeeek Gads! There is a very unfamiliar smell coming from down yonder. Is this possibly because I am passing fat? I can't stand this but if it is because of that, then I'll just have to deal with it...but ew.

  6. Funny thing is....when I manage to get in a full Protein Shake, I feel miserably full! But just a few minutes ago I had 2oz of meat (pastrami) very low fat, high Protein, and 1 egg. I was very full and knew it because of the sneezing lol but my tummy has not shut up since and feels hungry. Hungry and grumbly.

I don't feel like I have acid reflux, not in the normal sense anyway. What is ppi? I really kind of hope that is what this is!

  7. I am 6 weeks out and every time I eat, I get a 'hungry' feeling afterwards? Is this maybe gasses in my tummy instead? I am definitely not one of those who lost the hunger hormone :(. I am the type of person who could live without eating if I didn't feel hungry....food just isn't that huge of a deal for me (especially now) but I seem to feel hungry all of the time. If I get full (and I do) it doesn't last long. I am eating Protein and trying to drink my shakes and my Water but trying to figure all of that out is a pain in the butt. Anyway, I'm down almost 30 pounds and I'm happy, I just want to stop feeling hungry!

  8. i am 14 months post op. if we are honest' date=' i think that we all have that "what the hell did i do to myself" moment. i had it for a very brief time, and i am 'that sleever' that everyone hates. i had no complications, only 1 throw up (because i tried to do a whole serving of broth in 5 minutes 2 weeks out) and a pretty quick recovery. so, if someone like me had it, i can truly understand someone with any complications having it.

however, at 14 months out, my life is much better. i am 20 pounds away from what my surgeon told me was a 'lofty' goal. i am smaller than i was when i graduated high school, but i don't have that 'crack addict, sick' look. i am able to do all of the things that i couldn't but wanted to. and i eat like a normal person. i don't always make good food choices, but i always stay on track, because, i didn't do this for temporary weight loss. i did it to change me life. and it has helped me take control.

hopefully, you will learn what is causing your problem, and be able to use this to be a happier you. i truly hope that you come to love it as much as i have.

    good luck in your journey.[/quote']
