Are you taking any prescription pain meds still? That was the culprit for me. Constipation after surgery happend to me also. A little miralax for a few days and by day 3 you should have a bowel movement. You are also not eating alot of foods yet. It will be a little while before your bowels function normally again but they will. Wait till you get to the "sharts" stage! I literally could not tell if I needed to pass gas or number 2 for a week or so. Take it in stride. As you start to drop the weight you feel look and feel fabulous. No I stop taking the pain meds. But I have not been doing the miralax for 3 days straight. I will try it that way.

My surgery is in a few days and I need some inspiration so I can stop freaking out. Share your before and after pictures or stories:)Go in with the mind set that this is for you and to make you better. The easy thing to do is to have the surgery. It is the healing part that takes time and family support. Good luck.

I drank ginger tea (as best I could) during immediate recovery and it did help. When I was cleared for greek yogurt but couldn't have the kind with fruit in it yet (too chunky)' date=' I would mix in splenda and powdered ginger, and it was yummy![/quote']Thank you I am going to try the ginger and Splenda

Believe it when they say to walk. It felt like I was having a heart attack from the gas. It does pass when you walk a lot.
