  1. Are you taking any prescription pain meds still? That was the culprit for me. Constipation after surgery happend to me also. A little miralax for a few days and by day 3 you should have a bowel movement. You are also not eating alot of foods yet. It will be a little while before your bowels function normally again but they will. Wait till you get to the "sharts" stage! I literally could not tell if I needed to pass gas or number 2 for a week or so. Take it in stride. As you start to drop the weight you feel look and feel fabulous.

No I stop taking the pain meds. But I have not been doing the miralax for 3 days straight. I will try it that way.

  2. I have lupus' date='FIBROMYALGIA, Chron' s, I have been a diabetic for 23 years, I have gastroperisis (it is where your stomach Does not digest food anymore) neuropathy, and a super pubic catheter. (Diabetieshas left my bladder useless.) I weigh 186 and am five foot eight. I am having this surgery due to the gastroperisis. I don't need my stomach anymore. Dr said I might not loose much weight because I am not far off my target weight loss.[/quote']

    I wish you luck.

  3. I drank ginger tea (as best I could) during immediate recovery and it did help. When I was cleared for greek yogurt but couldn't have the kind with fruit in it yet (too chunky)' date=' I would mix in splenda and powdered ginger, and it was yummy![/quote']

Thank you I am going to try the ginger and Splenda
