Well I just got off the phone with my dr office and I have to pay $868 before surgery. But she said I could pay half before surgery and half after. THANK GOD! So I have to pay about $430 before. Surgery date is Jan 29th!!!!!

So my doctor office called me a little while ago. They told me I could get Jan 29th for my surgery date. I want that date BUT I have to see what I have to pay first. I've been out of work since August so financially it's been rough. So I ask for yall to pray for me that it's not to much and I can get it paid by then. So I can get the Jan 29th date. I have to get pulmonary clearance. I have that appointment on Jan. 29th. So once im cleared for that I will then get a date. So im looking at February I hope. I've already been approved by my insurance. Wishing everyone luck and many blessings!!

I know right...PRAISE BREAK...congrats to you too. My surgery probably won't be until February sometime. I have to get pulmonary clearance. I go on the 29th. Keep me posted!

I hope it's not to bad. They told me I had a date back in August that I was a no show for...but I don't remember it. So now I have to wait until the 29th for the pulmonary clearance appointment. Then I will get a surgery date. I guess im February sometime!! I can live with that. Just gives me time to get my $$ together!!

You went to Carolina Pulmonary right across the hall from Riverside??

My surgeon is Dr. Antonetti with riverside surgical. They called today and told me I had to get pulmonary clearance for I could get a surgery date....WHAT IS PULMONARY CLEARANCE?????? WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO?? I know they said it's going to take about 1 1/2 hours.

I've been where you are. I had to fighy to get my approval but with GOD all this are possible to those who believe. If u have given it to him, leave it there and let him do it. Trust me he will do it. He did it for me and I know he will do it for you!! Keep the faith and DONT DOUBT HIM!!! Please keep me informed and if u need to talk message me. Im all ears!! No I dont have a date yet. I called the coordinator at my dr office today to let her know my denial was reversed. So I had to email her a copy of the letter Aetna sent me. She called me back and said the lady that does the insurance had to verify my benefits for 2014 and that they will call me to set a date!

I dont know about bcbs but most insurance companies gives like a 6 month window from time of your approval

So did you have to do any pre op blood work or ekg or anything like that? I was denied @ first but I appealed and was approved yesterday. So im waiting for Riverside to call me!

Anyone here who had their surgery with Riverside surgical @ Lexington Hospital with Dr. Antonetti? If so what were the steps after you received your approval from insurance?

Bamaboo64 Your right. Lots of people do give up and don't fight. But they should fight for it. But what I don't understand is why insurances make it so hard. Think about it, people having the surgery will save them money in the long run because It will cut out alot of health issues by losing weight
