I was just wondering, any1 that already had their surgery, how long did it take Aetna do give your approval. (Especially in SC) BE BLESSED!!

Well I have Aetna and im currently going through the process now. At first I had to do the 3 month route but for some reason it was changed to 6 months. But I had to do a sleep study, endoscopy, psych eval, ekg, labs, and will have to do some tyoe of breath test. I also had to do see a pulmonary doctor for clearance because I have sleep apnea and oncologists(because my hemoglobin was low). I think it depends on what ever your job has written up with the insurance. I do however know a few people that have had the surgery and it only took around a week to get an approval. Have anyone in SC had their surgery with Dr. Marc Antonetti with Riverside Surgical? They are apart of Lexington Hospital in Lexington SC.....

Yep. It's crazy. When I 1st started this journey, that's what I was told 90 days weight management. But it's ok!! How long did it take for Aetna to approve you??

Went to the dr today for a weight management class. With my insurance we have to have 3 months of weight management classes. Ok...my husband is going to have the surgery as well...so when they gave him his paper work he had like 4 classes. So I was like we only need 3 for our insurance. So I asked them about it today when I went for my 2nd class. The lady told me she was going to check on it and get with me after class. So she comes to me and tell me that Aetna has changed there policy. Aetna took away there loa or something like that (it deals with the cost)...whatever it is, aetna has dropped the office we go to, off that list of meeting that qualification and because they did that we have to do 6 weight managements instead of 3...so my surgery went from October to the end of November or sometime in December....IM REALLY UPSET ABOUT THIS..... BE BLESSED!!

Thanx ladies....I need to go ahead and start trying to get this brain of mine in the habit of doing that...I KNOW ITS NOT GOING TO BE EASY BUT IT WILL BE ALL WOR5H IT IN THE END!!! BE BLESSED!!

I'm just wondering...after you have surgery(VSG) and are you eating are you able to drink while your eating or do you have to eat first and drink later?????????

No...this was something I've been hearing and was wondering if it was true..

I've heard that after the surgery and you start to lose the weight, your sex drive is through the roof...IS THIS TRUE????
