  3. Ooh I can't wait to lose the drain! Hate this stupid thing! It stopped collecting Fluid so it's just annoying at this point. Out tomorrow tho- 12 lbs? That rocks!!
  4. I'm a week out and I can drink about 4 ounces before I'm full. I try to sip an ounce every 15 mins.
  5. I'm hitting 60-70 for protein. I live on protein shakes and water. I have a dr appointment tomorrow to finally get rid of the drain- I will keep you posted on weight loss. Good job guys!! Loving your progress! Keeps me motivated!
  6. Still have some soreness and gas pain in my shoulder from time to time but walking helps a lot. I start puréed next week. I'm not hungry yet and thankfully no more nausea. Really fun having a shared sleeveday with all of you! I love having friends to talk with about all this.
  7. Good luck! See you over here on the loser's bench!
  8. That's fantastic!! You are doing it! I had to share your post with my husband I was so excited! Congrats to you!! Thanks for sharing with us.
  9. My surgeon recommended that I take 6 weeks off but I cant. Healing time isn't to be rushed tho- and everyone is different! I would recommend waiting until you feel ready. Your health 1st and foremost! Just my 2 cents
  10. I go back to work tomorrow but I'm working from home until Friday. Yaaay us!!
  11. My tastes are changing- my sugar free Popsicles are wayyy too sweet. I used to be teased for being part hummingbird because of my love of all things sweet. Not anymore!
  12. You look great- you're an inspiration!! Thank you for posting these- so fun seeing progress!!
  13. Wow - good job! Very exciting!! Someday I can't wait to join you!!
  14. I have to hope sleeping will get easier when I don't have this stupid drain.
  15. I can completely relate. I was an emotional roller coaster before my surgery- running thru all the emotions from elated to terrified. I too am a mom (twin 12 year olds- my everything ) and was terrified that I was being dangerous. They need me. I had my surgery 7/30 and while I was laying in the pre-op room the nurse left to get something. Even then, ivs hooked up and a gown on, I thought for a minute about bolting. I'm glad I didn't. I'm home, life is moving on, I'm already feeling better. The best advice I can give is keep posting here- the people on this website are amazing supportive and have created a community where you can feel safe to freak out lol. Congrats on your surgery date. Keep us posted!
  16. I had surgery on 7/30 and every time a nurse would check on me she would ask, have you farted yet. I was so embarrassed I kept saying I don't think so and they'd reply oh you'll know. Lol. When I finally did, it was so loud and then my whole stomach started making noises. I felt like one of those old fashioned crank start engines. Ugh. And agreed- no truer advice has been spoken. Do not trust them! Lol
  17. This has helped so much! Thank you!! I'm not used to being sooo noisy!
  18. Yes! Perfect- that is exactly the thought I had. Lol!
  19. Hi! Happily sleeved 7/30 and I have a quick question for you- I'm noticing my stomach, bowels etc are noisy all the time now. Did this happen to anyone else? Does it go away with food? It doesn't hurt so I am not complaining- just curious? Or maybe my sleeve is just talkative Lol.
  20. This happened to me too! I would love to know the answer- mine started 12 days early.
  21. Eww. Lol. I can't imagine how your breath would smell wearing that. I thought that I'd tried every diet out there- but apparently not! Haha!
