  1. Had my surgery 8/14/13 and was 248. I weighed yesterday and I was 197.2! I was stuck at 206 through the holidays (didn't eat as well as I should have). As soon as I got back on plan the weight started falling off again. I'm down from a tight size 18 to a loose 14 in pants and from a 2x to an xl top (I'm a little busty). I'm so happy, feel great physically, and feel sexy again. You can do it people!

  2. I assure you that you don't feel like you had a baby. ;) Try a c-section where that scar is about 10 times bigger. Congrats on your stomach baby.

I was still achy there for up to a couple weeks. The knife pain was for about a week and a half. They told me that they had to cut through or move (can't remember which) you muscle wall there so it would be sore for the longest.

  3. But damn I didn't know how much it SUCKS! I'm only 3 weeks out. I lost 10 my first week, 2 my second week and none this week. I only weigh in on Wednesdays. I'm trying really hard to stay positive. I'm scared that this isn't going to work for me, or that I'm going to be a slow loser. How can I lose 85% of my stomach and eat nothing but puréed food, yogurt and liquids and not lose weight. I feel like the whole "your body is in starvation mode" or "new muscle weighs more than fat" is one of those things I used to tell myself in my old dieting days to make myself feel better. I'm also on my period so I've been using the "I must have Water weight" theory too. But at 800-1000 calories/day how can this be? So frustrated.

  4. Yup just went to my post op appt yesterday. I'm down 20 lbs from my pre op diet to now. I lost 12 of those after my sleeve. I had Dr. Enochs as well. I haven't been to a support group yet my my friend and I are planning to go to the one at Rex next month. The schedule is on the practice's website. So cool to meet someone with the same doctor and a week apart in the same area! I live in Apex, so it was so convenient too!!
