  1. I was in on a Monday morning at 5am for surgery and discharged that Thursday late afternoon. My program has a three day stay usually for the sleeve, I stayed an extra day to consume more liquids.
  2. I am a male, 28, and lost 33 in my first month floor rowing surgery. I am not almost five months out and down over 100 pounds since day of surgery!
  3. Everything is fine. Went to Doctors today and met with doctor and results from testing look good. Problem....? Well it's stress. Turns out not only is stress bad for you as well all know, but it's very bad after having Bariatric surgery. Need to keep the stress levels down and go from there. Meet with head doctor on Monday. Hope everyone is going well.
  4. I'll be getting all my results tomorrow. I see the doctor at 11am

  6. I was wondering if you could explain this laser lipo a bit more, I have never heard of it before! Thanks :-)
  7. Would you be interested in attending regular local chapter meetings in person? Yes, without a doubt! Would you be interested in being a leader (or co-leader)? I personally would be interested in being a leader. I believe that the support groups that are in my area are very limited, and a lot of times not educational at all. The support groups in my area are most once a month with the exception of one hospital which does them weekly. I would love to start a weekly support group in my area and feel I could be very successful and have the time to dedicate towards it. Would you like BariatricPal to provide agendas for meetings? I am very good at planning and organizing and feel with a little guidance from BariatricPal I would be the perfect leader. What additional support could BariatricPal provide to encourage your participation and/or leadership? After looking online at the classes offered I would love to attend one for Leadership if the finances are available. I am a very dedicated and motivated individual. Should there be limits on the minimum and maximum numbers of members that each Local Chapter can have? The limit should be strictly based on room capacity. No one should be denied or limited unless max room capacity has reached it's limit. In that case a second support group a week would be idea. What other ideas do you have? I would like to turn my experience and knowledge from this amazing journey into a lesson for pre op and post op patients and offer them the guidance they need, which is really required with this life changing experience.
  8. Glad your feelin better jennie
  9. Thanks! Lol. Tomorrow is upper GI at Albany Med and possible Scope if they can fit me in. Have appointment Friday for results. Dehydration cause weakness, lightheadedness, dry mouth, confusion and so on. If your not drinking AT LEAST 30 ounces a day your body will also go into dehydration mode. I went one day at 22 ounces and got a little tiredness and had no clue till doctor told me I was dehydrated.
  10. Awe thanks Brick!!! How are you feeling?
  11. Personally I think your will surprisingly feel well enough. It may not seem like it at this point, but I personally feel you will feel well enough! Especially since it's Dolly!!!
  12. Thanks SportsCub Just think and stay positive!
  13. Wishing you a quick recovery!!!
  14. Am almost five months post op and down over a 100 pounds since day of surgery and feeling amazing! Never thought it was possible to feel this good! I'm off all blood pressure and cholesterol meds, no more border line diabetic, more energy, I just feel beyond amazing and wishing nothing but the best for everyone, pre op and post op!
  15. Josh ~ Prior to surgery (I am almost five months post op) I heard many mixed things on Chantix, and decided to try it. I was very successful with it and quit smoking on day nine of being on Chantix. I will say it came along with side effects like very hard time sleeping, and nightmares but I found it well worth it. If you start to pick up the bad habit after surgery then Chantix will not work as post op bariatric patients usually can't consume enough food to take the medication. Hope this helped and best of luck to you! :-)
  16. Updated before and after pic. Took the after pic today. Down over 100 pounds since surgery date of October 7, 2014. Keep up the good work October Sleevers!!!
  17. Just took an updated photo earlier, figured I would share it
  18. I have more testing on Wednesday, hopefully some answers then. Overall I feel good. Time will tell though, time will tell!
  19. Yay!! Congrats to you! Keep up the great work! Doesn't it feel just beyond amazing?!?!?!
  20. Feel better! Dehydration is a b$&@&!
  21. Well they hydrated me as a precaution but once blood work came back it turned out that my electrolytes and what not were PERFECT! As I said, I think my doctor is a bit over worried. Keep in mind I did have a large amount of my stomach removed so obviously I'm not going to be able to eat dramatically at all and I would be more sensative to some foods. The doc threw in a comment towards discharge that with the percent I have had removed she felt it was normal what I am experiencing. Next week will tell us a little more.
