  1. Auntie Vick ~ sent you a private message with new phone number. Sounds like a plan to me :-) I'm fine with either one, they both sound good to me. Will talk to you tomorrow.
  2. My last supper was like feeding a family reunion, and boy was it great lol. Feeling the way you feel with anxiousness and what not is totally normal. Second guessing is normal, but try not to do it. This will be an amazing experience for you, as it has been for me. I am almost six weeks out and down 50 pounds. Enjoy your 'last supper' know that soon enough you will be ble to enjoy a meal, and have the restriction to assist you, not eat as much and feel amazing!! Best of luck!!!
  3. Moni~ It can vary from person to person but of it is STRICTLY a desk job id say a week. If it's a desk job plus a little more then I would say two weeks. If I had a desk job I would have gone back a week after surgery. Hope this helped
  4. Don't second guess yourself, although it is normal. I am almost six weeks out from surgery and down 50 pounds. It you are committed you will do fine. Don't go back to any sodas, keep your liquids under 10 grams of sugar, and stay away from the crappy so called sliders.y nerves prior to surgery we're like yours, but once your post op it's really a totally new life and feeling and the urge for me is gone and I have no problem. You'll do fine, keep a positive attitude and wishing you nothing but the best of success. Please keep up updated.
  5. Look great! Keep up the great work!!
  6. Aunt Vick ~ We def should get together for coffee. There's a Dunkin Donuts AND a Starbucks near the East Greenbush WalMart :-) shhhhhhh, no one else can see this, right?
  7. Well, I thought it was funny. Anyways, I'm on Biotin for the hair loss. And as for the gym, I walk an hour a day, and use the bike at home. I dont have $10 a month to waste on PF unless they had a pool!! I am thinking about a Y membership because I really want to do the swimming. U should soooo get one with me!!!
  8. Okay for starters let's have a moment of silence and have an Almond Joy together....on the count of three... One..................
  9. Walking Dead is the BEST!!! Totally addicted!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Never heard of being encouraged to drink with your meals after the sleeve, but follow what your doctor says I guess. I was fearful of the whole not drink 30 mins before or after eating, not knowing how hard it would or wouldn't be but I'm doing fine with it. When you drink you are forcing the food down which is stretching, which is not good. Surgery date: October 7th 2013 High weight:270 Start weight:252 Weight at day of surgery:232 Current weight:182
  11. I've always been one to have a fan in front of me, even in the winter which may seem crazy especially since winter in the northeast where I live is killer! But now I am five weeks post op and for four weeks I have been freezing my butt off piled with blankets and have the heat cranked to 72. We are finally experiencing what so called normal people feel, and I don't like this cold thingy!! Lol High weight:270 Start weight:252 Weight at day of surgery:232 Current weight:182
  12. You should be fine hum, don't stress, just 'behave' in the meantime. I gained a couple pounds when I had my appointment to get the surgery date, and as stupid as it sounds, I wore the thinnest pajama pants I had, a t shirt, no underwear or socks, no jewelry, no glasses, and took my shoes off, and did NOT drink or eat before that appointment that day and was just fine. I've given this advice to a couple people at my support group and they have used it and you would be surprised. Best wishes and please keep us updated High weight:270 Start weight:252 Weight at day of surgery:232 Current weight:182
  13. Even though we may all have had the same surgery it gets confusing because different hospital/programs go by different 'rules'. I was sleeved five weeks ago and am down 50 pounds. My program/hospital has a very high success rate and it focuses on protein, sugar and liquids. Obviously you want your protein in, and for sugar what we have has to have less then 10grams of sugar. It can get confusing since different programs have different guidelines. Hopefully my two cents helped lol. Best of luck.
  14. I see your situation is pretty common. I am now five weeks post op from the sleeve and attend support groups every Thursday and it seems the eval is a bigger deal then people would think. Find a therapist on your own, and ask them PRIOR to meeting them there actual opinion on barometric surgery. You will be surprised to see how honest they are and you can get a feel from their response and their tone. That's what I did and it went just fine. Best of luck to you!! High weight:270 Start weight:252 Weight at day of surgery:232 Current weight:182
  15. I think it's horrible and very confusing compared to before. Don't like it at all... LOVE the support, but not the new layout as it's just not as easy. It's not just because it's 'new' to us, it's because it's just very confusing and so on. Please help!!!
  16. I'm a total penguin nerd lol. Things are going to work out perfecto for you, think positive!! The support groups are amazing and soooo beneficial! I would def meet up with you for one if you would like. I'm always upto meeting new people that are on this journey and it would be great. I'm still waiting to meet Auntie Vick. In five weeks I've lost 50 pounds, but gotta remember men lose quicker then women. Damn us men, I know lol. Keep up the positive attitude!!!
  17. Lol we'll thank you! I love my penguins lol
  18. Sandy, your awesome and I'm glad to know that someone else feels the way I do. I have run across this and I find very arrogant and rude, and immature. So, I second your thoughts/opinions and thank you for speaking up.
  19. Earthy, you sooooo close! I just reached Onederland myself, was sleeved October 7th so I am five weeks post op. Lost 50 since then. It's a great feeling. Pic posted is my newest one I took once I hit Onederland. Excuse the penguin pajamas as I took it right before bed lol. Your soooooooo close!!! Yippie for you!!!!! Hip hip horray!!!!!!!
  20. I would say to call the doctors office as we'll just to let them know so they are aware. I am five weeks post op (down 50 pounds :-) ) and I didn't have those symptoms. Are you taking vitamins as prescribed and getting in all the the protein and liquids? You'll be okay, it's a hell of a journey but we'll worth it!!!
  21. Hit send by accident before, my apologies. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I will be waiting for updates on your progress with hopes of you going home tomorrow. Stay strong, it may not feel like it right now, but this bump will soon be a moment of the past and you will feel like a whole new person. PLEASE keep me updated.
  22. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I feel kust horrible. You will be in my thoughts and
