Camella got a reaction from Shellbell333 in When was your first 'stall' and how long did it last?
I was sleeved July 1st - weird that we are both stuck at 21 lbs. I told myself yesterday that I wasn't going to weight myself until the weekend....of course that didn't happen and I weighed myself first thing this morning and still no movement! -
Camella got a reaction from Im14fun in When was your first 'stall' and how long did it last?
I'm three weeks out and I have been in a stall now for 10 days. I know it's "normal" but it is frustrating. Of course I have convinced myself that I will never loose another pound and that I will be the only person ever sleeved who looses just 20 pounds. Someone gave me some good advice yesterday....stop weighting yourself for a couple of weeks.

Misty, Agile development sounds fun:) Being a BA myself, we are having a great "uh-hum" time transitioning to Agile requirement documentation and development. Enjoy your reading, what are you reading?
I tend to agree, Sue, you are onto something with the 3 week stall. I can barely think of anyone who hasnt had the 3 week stall
Carmella, stay strong it will pass soon, and you will be back on a loosing streak.
Lessismore...good luck, think I am a bit late but hope the surgery went well.
Lissa, day 1 and I am failing...last minute travel put a spanner in my works, seeing as I am on a 7 am flight and wont be on a flight home til 7pm, wont get the work out in today and am eatting on the run...eeeek

I have been thinking about this '3 week stall' - I think it is tied in with the bodies ability to only go with out food for 3 weeks! Maybe it is the bodies last ditch effort to hold on to that last bit of weight before you truly go into starvation mode - lets face it, the amount of calories we are consuming around this time truly is at starvation levels! Just one of my thoughts but hey, I am no doctor!

Abranewme , Camella and Disco you three ladies made me smile this Sunday evening . Camella I am evil when hungry as well. I can relate. Ladies marriage is a challenge . I love my husband deeply . I know he loves me. But he is just not able to put himself in my shoes . My prayer is that he will change once the weight starts to truly come off. The sentiment that means the most is that you all say I am not alone . Thank you

Camella got a reaction from Reigo in Annoyed with Spouse and some Friends
Hi Opal
My hubby was not really on board before my surgery, but he came to a couple of my appointments and suddenly started to "get" what a big deal it is. I'm sorry that you will have to do this alone! Just wait until the weight starts falling off and you look and feel great! I have a feeling he won't let you go to the gym without him!

Camella reacted to Tiny One in After pic of the girls...
My girls have always been on the small side. But over the past several years, I became proud as they seemed to have grown as I gained weight. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted. Now back to an A cup. Any smaller I'll be in a training bra. Lol....

I think that a good rule of thumb in the very early stages is to to measure out 1/4 cup at meal time
The difference between 1/4 and 1/3 is enough to have painful consequences.

Yes, info sent. I have too much information to provide on a forum. I have created two great documents that I have no problems sharing. I've complied great suggestions from multiple sleevers and put it together. I have three different versions of something similar to what Laura shared...but in more detail. More specific on what types of food; how much, how to weigh, what type of equipment you will need to assist...etc. 6 videos on common questions/concerns, 2012 research on all weight loss surgeries, etc. If someone wants this information, please PM me and I'll provide you my email address, so I can send it to you, if not, no big deal. Have a great weekend.

Good point Laura (unfortunately too late - I trust Angel that you have good intentions ) Thanks for posting that link. It's very helpful! It's nice to have an outline of what a normal day might look like. -

Thanks AngelNP I would really appreciate that. My surgeon didn't give me very clear directions so I always feel like I don't have a clue what I am doing.

Thanks Arts - I'm guessing that I might be overdoing it. It seems like I feel nothing and then a very sharp pain in my sternum. It really is hard to shake that need to 'finish a meal'. I think I need to pay closer attention. -

Thanks so much for sharing that Grace! It was so nicely written and I can completely relate. I "march to the beat of my own drum", however I'm also a huge people pleaser so I understand how many small compromises can steer you in a totally different direction. I'm only recently sleeved, but look forward to discovering what is under all this weight. Congratulations!

I was taught to clean your plate always. As an adult that is still engraved in my brain. I think I'm starting to etch it out, but to make life simple I eat on a saucer. That way when I put food on it, it is a very small amount. Makes the battle in my mind easier to win. Good luck!

Camella reacted to Mrs.RRn in Ate Red Lobster tonight (pic)
Our waitress gave me a few dirty looks (No drink? Extra plate? No salad?) lol. It was kind of funny. But I think when she saw me eating my little baby bites and chewing so carefully, I think she figured out what was going on.... Or maybe she just settled on me being a nutcase!

Camella got a reaction from paisleyponds in Waxy coating in mouth from protein shakes?
I'm the same, apparently it's quite normal post op - if you do a search under white tongue you will find a lot of people mentioning it. Mine was terrible the first week, but I've been brushing my tongue and now almost three weeks out it's 75% better. It will eventually go away.
